What is wrong is the care and love in maintaining the campground is non existent. Sent here on a recommendation from someone who had been here years ago. The bathhouse was disgusting has not been cleaned in years, there are several permanent campers in premium spots who's campers have tarps, duct tape and permanently installed window air conditioners. It would take so little to spruce it up with a fire pit, chairs along river and maybe even rake, sweep and maintain sites???

We're talking about gorgeous, and fun. Vintage camping trailers, shined up, retrofitted, and perfect for a photo back drop for all of your wedding/reunion needs. There's places for friends and family to stay. There's a giant event tent. There's the most adorable little creek. AND. and this is a big AND. AND it's extremely close to town. Seriously, I feel like it's a 12 minute drive to downtown metro Asheville, which is much closer than some of the other venues on the same level of beauty and fun that June Bug offers. If you're shopping around for the perfect wedding venue for your big day, make sure to check this place out. If you've been invited to a wedding here, rejoice! You're bound to have a great time. The beds were comfy the tent was cute inside and everything was clean including the public bathhouse. I however did not use the porta potty because I don't use those but I'm sure it was clean. We came in the winter time and if your issue with camping is bugs then i suggest this is the time to go if you can bare the cold! Did not see a single insect which helped because I cannot do spiders Lol! Ended the long day coming back from snowboarding by easing down in the hot tub while watching the stars. Honestly stayed warm for 20 minutes after getting out of tub. Couldn't figure out how to use heat/ac unit so we used our own space heater we brought but theres a page in the binder about how to use it that I wish we saw. (our fault) Either way the blankets kept us plenty warm and the sun in the morning warmed us up too. Fun experience overall and did not dissapoint. Saw somewhere in a review I think about frozen pipes and prepared for that and I think they were frozen because no water came out of sink or shower. That was no problem for us though because we brought plenty of water bottles. Still recommend regardless because you don't get a shower camping usually anyways.

My daughter was sent there for what we thought would be a fun week but apparently 5 girls in an adjoining cabin did something wrong and all 18 girls had to suffer the consequences according to their Director. The girls were locked in a room until parents were able to drive 4 hours to the camp the next day and pick them up. They decided without my permission to send my daughter home with a different parent even though we had agreed on a different mode of transportation for her to get home. Only after 2 hours of increasingly frantic calls was I informed that she hadn't left the camp and they were sending her with a different parent. Make sure you know and trust everyone in your child's cabin because the supervision is obviously lacking and they believe in guilt by association.
