I have significant sensitivities to fragrances and chemicals, which can make furniture shopping challenging. Angelena went above and beyond to help us find solutions that would work for my situation. She listened carefully to my concerns, and even worked with the manufacturer to make special accommodations for my furniture prior to delivery. At every stage, I felt like she genuinely cared about helping us create a home we could enjoy. That level of service is rare these days. The Furniture Guys had EXACTLY what I wanted and the price was right. We purchased the sofa and are very, very happy with it. 6 months later and we need a new mattress and as we all know MATTRESS SHOPPING SUCKS! I made the typical rounds with the well known major bed retailers. I had two sales people literally follow me out of the store and I thought one guy was going to break out in tears when I left. It was awful. We found a memory foam with gel mattress at the Furniture Guys that we liked earlier in the day. We found others that we liked as well, however the price was usually more than double of what we liked at the Furniture Guys place. We went back, tired and hungry after making the rounds and tried the bed out again and decided to take it. This was on a Saturday afternoon and they said they could deliver it that day! I wasn't expecting anything before Monday so that was a bonus. The delivery guy didn't show up until 7:00pm that night but they did get the bed there. Sunday morning I wake up at 4:00am in back pain agony. I was convinced that I could not sleep on that bed and went back to the store to find out what my options would be. The receipt he gave me the day before was for someone else, so we got that switched out. George was very patient with me and listened to my concerns. He explained that going from a coil bed to memory foam will take some adjustment and the mattress will become less firm with use. He suggested that we give it a little time and if we were still unhappy he would make it right. I took him at his word and lo and behold slept like a baby the second night! However, in looking at my receipt after we got home, I noticed that I was overcharged by $53.00. I called George and he issued a credit right over the phone. I do believe it was just an honest mistake and he was quick to fix it. I totally recommend this place and I will return in the future for sure. Love the couch and the mattress. I browsed the other aisles but didn't see anything in particular. I was mainly looking for books and excess tea; neither Ollie's had much of a tea selection. The employee that rang us up was nice and friendly, and there was basically no wait, although it might have been because they were closing soon. While it's mostly general merchandise they sell, one can also find a pretty decent variety of cleaning supplies, personal care products, clothing, bedding, toys, pet needs and even non-perishable foods! Plenty of bagged and boxed candy too. The store seems a good bit cleaner than the Odd Lots that once occupied this space. It's also better organized and has (somewhat) friendlier employees, albeit not all of 'em seem on board with that. Anyway, it dampens the "holiday spirit" of the store. Lots of holiday and seasonal goods for sale too. They got nothing on Robert's Christmas Wonderland on Gulf to Bay, but one of THOSE is probably one too many except in small doses. Meanwhile, Christmas music was playing in the store. Between every one or two songs was another Ollie's ad. Each one of 'em ends with the same phrase as though barked by a group of military recruits... "Ollies: good stuff CHEAP!!" That pretty well sums it up: hook, line and sinker. I'm sure if you looked hard enough you can find THEM too. I myself won't be doing so, but my dear Queen Bee loves the place. To me, it beats the be-jiggers outta Dollar Parlor, Greenback General or Goodwill. This is a great store!…read more I don't think I have ever been in this store before. I have been on the hunt for a mod shelf for a small area. I looked EVERYWHERE & could not find anything in real wood that I liked. I came to "At Home" and they had some really cute ones, and a really big Natural wood one on the top shelf, naturally, where I couldn't get to it. I tried to get help but I ran out of time & had to leave. I couldn't find anyone to help me get the shelf down, so I left. I kept looking the rest of the day around town, but that was the only one I really liked. So next day I came in & went up to the register & asked if someone could get it down for me & the lady at the register was very kind & helpful, called a man to help me immediately. He got the shelf down & it's the perfect size I needed. This store is very nice, clean & well organized. It's HUGE with tons of inventory & seasonal inventory. The prices are average.
