Big lots has had a little face lift this year and they are in the process of a little more. They…read morewill be getting new shelves and flooring soon. This store has a Wal mart vibe. They have groceries, toys, electronics, cleaning, tools, auto & paint, home & decor, big furniture, apparel and a huge holiday section. And I don't have to walk a mile to get to all these items. Lots of parking out front. The furniture can also be purchased with an easy leasing program or big lots credit card. It is similar to buying from rent-a-center. The interest rates are high but if you can pay off your card in 6 months on the smaller limit or within 1 year on the larger, you'll save that way. It's something to thing about. The friendly staff will answer all your questions. They offer a rewards card. I like to keep that on "stock card" apt on my iPhone that way I always have my card.....or you can give them a phone number. That works too .

Wasabi peanuts, baked edamame snacks, Peanuttles...I never knew what most of this stuff was before I went to the snack section of a Big Lots. Also, cheap crap. Batteries, shampoo, other necessities you don't feel like paying full price for. And every Big Lots is different. You might find something awesome, like the totally discontinued Pumpkin Pop-Tarts I got that taste like Thanksgiving in June.

Not a problem for us, we expected as much. The nice thing about going so late was that a lot of the vendors were ready to leave and wanted to make a deal. I would love to see the selection if we went earlier bc we found quite a few treasures in the 1.25th a we were there. Treasurers from every era and at great price points. Vintage Delicate Japanese tea sets, MCM decanters, records, pottery, vintage advertising- it had it all! Some vendors definitely snuck in a couple of things that were newer, but all in all it was the promised 25yrs or older. If you love treasure hunting this is a great place to go. Things to note: -the fee is now $4 -ample free parking -food and drink vendors available (try the kettle corn) -full sun -vendors leave early on slow/hot days (who can blame them?)

You can go from a booth selling vintage Barbies from Japan to one that makes jewelry from billiard balls or tables from drums. Goods for every budget and price point. Vendors are friendly as well, and there are even food vendors so you can make an entire day of your visit!

I have been a devoted shopper at Walmart but, today, that changes. Yesterday, I logged onto…read moreWalmart.com and ordered three items at a really great sale price. I was elated! I also ordered three non-sale items that I needed. Oddly, none of the sale items were delivered to me, but the non-sale items arrived promptly. All were going to the same address. Two of the sale items don't even provide tracking information (super sketch) and the third has tracking but it's limited and only shows the city and zip it was delivered to. All three items say delivered to Aurora with zip code 47011 but I live in Lawrenceburg with zip code 47025. The whole thing is fishy, but I called customer service thinking they would correct the issue. NOPE. The representative told me he would issue a refund, but I said I didn't want a refund. I wanted the items I ordered at the price advertised on Walmart.com yesterday. The agent said the items were supplied by a 3rd party vendor and that Walmart couldn't honor the price EVEN THOUGH I BOUGHT THE ITEMS ON WALMART.COM AND MY BANK WAS CHARGED BY WALMART. This feels very scammy or like a bait and switch situation. I don't trust Walmart anymore. Not one time while I was ordering did it say anything about any of this. Bottom line is Walmart should have done the right thing and honored the price. My address was clearly on the order so why did the vendor ship my three sale items to Aurora (where a Walmart store happens to be located) and my non-sale items miraculously arrived? It's shadier than a 200 year old Oak tree. I no longer trust Walmart at this point and I will not be shopping with Walmart anymore. And if you find yourself shopping on Walmart.com and see proces that appear too good to be true, well, chances are, they're still scamming their customers with their phony 3rd party vendor story.
