I have gone off and on to Outback for the 10 years we have had a pool. The owners husband has always been arrogant. Today I witnessed him calling a customer curse words and saying that he knew nothing all because the owner did not think the guys question/concern warranted his attention. As an owner of anything you might not agree but you never call someone and idiot and curse words because they do not believe everything that comes out of your mouth. I was apologized to and bought my product. It was brought up that owner has an illness and this is what caused this. I will tell you as a consumer it does not matter what you have or don't have if your a jerk to your customers. I send prayers to the owners family but this is still not an excuse. Again, this was not directed at me but seeing how a customer was treated was enough to never to back. I appreciate the call from the woman owner after apologizing again but then she did not like what I had to say so she was ok with not having my business either. Good luck and God bless. read more

I could not say enough good things about Outback. You will not regret using them for your pool and spa needs. The customer service is AMAZING! The employees are SO helpful and so friendly. They have everything you need plus more IN stock and ready to go. They are willing to help you problem solve and come up with a solution. I feel like they are not just pushing products to make a sale, they truly listen and help you get what you need. We were given a free hot tub and knew nothing about it but they helped us with all the parts we needed to get it running plus set us up with chemicals to get started. They explained others we may need in the future but didn't force us to purchase any right now. I genuinely feel like they are there to help and make your pool and spa successful. They also give discounts for teachers, first responders, military! Just an amazing local business. These guys have my business through and through and I appreciate all their help so far! read more

The owner is a total waste of time. I went in for parts for my inground salt pool only to be belittled, berated and told what i had was useless. This is an owner who cares nothing for the customer. I was a loyal customer of Outback for nearly 30 years. I bought all chemicals there and had a sparkling pool. I did most maintenance myself but used Outback regularly for the harder things. I sprung a huge leak one day, it looked like a geyser. I called Outback only to be informed that they had a backlog and couldn't get to me for a month. The fact that I'd been a loyal customer for a quarter century bought me nothing. They could repair that leak in 10 minutes. The owner bluntly told me that I was no more important to him than the guy who walked in for the first time today. My final straw was after snowmageddon. I lost the filter. Filters were in short supply so Outback ordered one and I waited. At some point, I was talking to them about the installation of the new filter. They informed me that they don't do that. In fact, they were a year behind on pool maintenance and weren't accepting new work orders. I went home. Ordered a filter from Amazon, and had another company install it. The other company told me that they were servicing regular customers first but would add me to the list. Exactly as they should treat current customers. read more

I called last thursday to ask if they carried any smaller size above ground pools. The person I was speaking with (older gentleman) immediately got huffy and stated the pools they carry are over $2,000 with 45 yr warranties, and what I'm looking for is a piece of crap pool from China that is only going to fall apart, and China can go to h*** for starting all this crap, and they are glad that all these places are out of stock bc they don't support that Chinese crap and if I want something like that then I can just call Home Depot or Lowe's etc. Ummmmmmmmmmmm.... What exactly did I do to deserve being talked to in this manner??? I just ask a question. The answer was "no." Simple. Trust me dude, when it comes time to buy a bigger pool AND hot tub, I WILL NOT be shopping your store. Will that hurt your business?
