While running some errands my car decided a to break down; brakes drop out and brake fluid spurts from the line every time I try to use them. Luckily, I was in line for gas at Wawa and a few good people came to my aid to help assess the concern and get the car to a safe place to park.
Of course to add insult to injury, my phone died. I was able to get help from the management at Wawa to call my husband who had been on his way to return our rental car from Holiday traveling - did I mention his car was in the shop too?!
We call triple A and they say, "No problem! We will be out in an hour." .... 6 hours later, they hadn't found anyone to be the driver and all they could say was sorry. My husband, searched yelp and came upon "Out Tha Mud" he text me the number as he was now walking back from the rental return because they would not extend it at all before his phone died.
I reached out and spoke to, who I would later come to know as Abdul. He showed concern that my daughter and I were stranded and despite my giving Triple A another chance to make it right he called and said, "Ma'am are you and your daughter still out there?"
I said yes and he said he was coming and to let them and my husband know. He got to us as quickly as he could, despite clearly being off-of-the clock and towed us home. My daughter was thrilled to ride behind the tow and we scrounged up the last bit of cash we could to offer a tip. She said, "Can we call them again when our car stops working?!"
Although, the circumstances were rough, we are so grateful to the kind people at "Out Tha Mudd" and would highly recommend them to anyone in need or asking. As Abdul said honorably, "This is what we do."
