My husband and I booked this Bed & Breakfast because it was cheaper to stay an extra night after…read moreour cruise than to fly home the same day. My husband had booked the smallest room (which was the only room available) but it was okay because we just needed a place to sleep. There was internet, a television in the room, a nice bathroom and a bed big enough for both of us. We got there a little early so the owner let us put our luggage there so that we could explore Copenhagen. When we came back to check in, the owner made the check in process (as well as the check out process because we had to leave at 6 am to go to the airport) very easy. She showed us to the room and explained how everything worked. The owner was able recommend a place for us to just grab a quick bite to eat - the cafe she recommended was very nice. The bed & breakfast is in a nice location - it is kind of in a residential neighborhood. It is also close to the metro that takes you to downtown/city center of Copenhagen. Since we were leaving so early in the morning, the owner left breakfast for us in the refrigerator for us to pull out in the morning. She asked us what we would like for breakfast and there it was in the refrigerator.. I would definitely stay here again if I was every in Copenhagen.

I can't say enough about the owner. She was so nice and accommodating to our silly schedule. The location of the place is so perfect. If you need to get to the airport, this is the place to book. You probably could walk to the airport from Ocean. You can see the airport from the street, but I never really heard it at all. If you don't want to walk to the airport you can take the Metro. It took longer to walk to the Metro then it took the Metro to get to the airport. Walking to the Metro took 4 minutes maybe. The Metro also takes you straight downtown to where all of the action is. Now for the room. It was cute. Yes the room was small but I didn't really care. The bathroom, I thought, was pretty cool but I think some would not like it. Ocean is also right by the Aquarium. Totally across the street. My wife wouldn't let me go to the aquarium because fish talk smack to her. She is a little nutty. The next time we decide to go to Copenhagen we will definitely stay here. If they are all booked up we will just stay home.

The whole place is very relaxing and has a common area with books, games and a stereo. A quiet stay with only birds and an occasional church bell breaking the silence. The owners Annica and Björn are great people who brings out a fantastic breakfast. Home made bread and everything else you would expect of a multiple star hotel. Stop looking for B&B, this is the best. Once here, you don't want to leave!

I mean who the hell paires chickpeas with battered mushrooms, it's like eating cement with bricks. And the caprese is frankly way way way better in the pizzeria on the Oslo boat from Copenhagen utterly disappointin, the veal was okay but a bit tough, good sauce thou. Then we had the desserts and the strawberry meringue had become infused with the plate, it was home made but had never been crisp on the outside so it was impossible to eat with out some serious power tools. But all in all we really enjoyed our stay at ystad saltsjöbad just a bit disappointed in the food vs pricing.
