Their…read moredeposit and CD rates are abysmal, far below other Ohio credit unions and even some local Athens banks! Something strange apparently happened when they changed their name from Ohio University Credit Union to OUCU Financial. Your CD money can grow nearly 5X greater at other Ohio credit unions! As the FED rises rates, sure OUCU Financial loan rates shot up...but deposit rates barely budged. I will probably be cashing in my CDs there early despite penalties assessed in doing so. By putting that CD money in another institution ( credit union or even a bank) I will quickly recover the penalty money, and grow from there. Something very wrong is happening with OUCU Financial. Don't deposit your hard-earned money there unless you desire to lose value in a very short time.

I haven't had any crazy charges or things that make me want to cancel my account. The people are always friendly when I go in. If you use mobile banking and keep a positive account balance, they don't charge a monthly fee. The mobile banking is a nice feature, although I wish they would add the routing number to the app so you can easily get the info you need. That is far from a deal breaker though. If I didn't have a bank account and was looking to start one, I would definitely choose Wesbanco. I also do recommend it to friends and family. I'm assuming the check that the other person was talking about in their review wasn't from Wesbanco or something, because I have never had a single problem with them. If you need an account, this bank is a good option. They get a big ole thumbs up from me!

They have a new money grabbing policy where even when you have money in the bank they charge you…read moreoverdraft fees because of placing holds on pay roll checks.Been a customer for 20 years.Payroll checks have never bounced but because of new policy they place a hold on my payroll check?Shame on you peoples bank.
