I have gone to their ER 4 times since October of 2023. In the 2023, it was a bad experience. I was…read morethere for blood work and testing for flu, strep, and COVID. I went back a year later and they changed for the better! The receptionist was very friendly and the same one I've dealt with the last 3 times (including today) that I've been there. Today, the ER was PACKED! She said I may have to wait for a while, but I was fine with that. 2 MINUTES I GOT A ROOM! I was cared for IMMEDIATELY! The nurse was very thorough, friendly, and caring to me. I waited maybe 10 minutes, if that, before Dr. Hamby came in to see me. AMAZING DOCTOR! He examined me and knew IMMEDIATELY what I need to help me. He explained what he was prescribing and how I should take it. He said he hoped I got to feeling better soon. I waited maybe another 10 minutes before the same nurse came in to discharge me. She went over my paperwork and explained again to me about the eye drops I was prescribed. EXTREMELY INTELLIGENT NURSE! I signed the papers and was released. She made it a point to tell me as I was walking out of the room that she hoped I got to feeling better soon and to come back any time I needed them. I was checked in, in a room, thoroughly examined, and out of there in about 25 minutes all together in a PACKED ER! That's UNHEARD OF! Very clean and relaxed waiting room and facility. Every staff member who wasn't busy with another patient made it a point to tell me goodbye and they hoped I would feel better. GREATEST MEDICAL EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD!!! I'd totally recommend people who live in the Nashville area that if you are able to make the drive to Sevier County, then do it! WAY better experience than you'll have a HMH! Thank you to EVERYBODY who works at Sevier County Medical Center! DON'T STOP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!!!!!
