My 1998 Toyota 4Runner frame is rusted bad, I asked Otto's if they would "fix" the frame. Short answer "NO", they have welded on Toyota frames twice in the past, but it takes too much time, costing the customers too much money, it's just not the kind of work they do. What a GREAT answer, I appreciate the honesty, and respect anyone who can say "NO" to work when it's not in my best interest to hire them for the job. I've always liked Otto's, even more now! Sometimes the best answer "NO". The 3rd Generation Toyota 4Runner frames have serious problems (I found this out SOON AFTER buying one). Toyota should recall these vehicles. If you own one, PLEASE look at your frame before you drive it again. Thank God I wasn't on the Highway when my axel came completely loose from the frame. The only thing on the vehicle were the rear stabilizing bars. I can push my finger through the frame, the rust is that bad. The amazing thing is the Body is perfect, that's why I bought it... so if your looking for a BEAUTIFUL 3rd Gen Toyota 4Runner (with a small frame issue) I got the vehicle for you! read more

Chad got under my pickup and told me exactly what I needed to replace my broken leaf springs and he did it without any BS. I read another review that was left for this business and was completely shocked at the negative review. I am almost certain that this other customer that left the negative review was having a bad day. Otto's Welding & Machine Shop has been in business since the 60's and for good reason. I went there because my picky relative gave them quite the compliment so when I wanted something welded I had to call. I bought a welded product and I love it. I bought a fire ring and this last weekend was our first weekend and everyone loved it. Perfect height and around. the customer service was wonderful for suggestions and professional.
