I would never live that one down! But the course in Sibley is great, always well manicured, and fun to play! There is some good long holes, some water, some sand, lots of trees and the greens are true! I used to love running up the #8 hole they called the Mound or fighting with my older sister as to who got to sit in the front seat of the cart! The country club is great too. Good spot for a wedding or a party! I loved getting Shirly Temples from the bar as a kid, and frozen Snickers bars! All in all this is a great spot to play a round of golf!

I've also never played where sand traps have railroad ties on the side of them. The party ahead of us was a five some. I hit a ball over two hundred and seventy yards down the fairway, and it went over the slope the five son circled back and apparently picked up my ball. They run the sprinklers down the fairway.So when you do hit a ball, you have to wait for the sprinklers, to clear, run out, grab your ball and take it off to the side. If you're looking for something outside the norm, check out the Scottish Links, the newest course at Brooks. The terrain is gorgeous and pretty different looking, with rolling hills and bent grass fairways. Personally, I like to hit a bucket of balls at the driving range rather than commit to 18 holes. :) I'm also fond of the red Brooks golf carts and a G&T at Bud's Pub after. FYI, Brooks is the only 4 1/2 Star Golf Digest rated course in the Lakes area. Brooks was also named one of the top 5 courses to play in Iowa by Golf Week Magazine. Play with the locals- golf Brooks!
