The books are normally high in price but not all the time. Sometimes they are on sale. The Works has really interesting books some that will that will keep children busy. Sometimes there are really good bargains. Recently we bought a set of three Disney photo albums for just £5, whereas it was for at least £10 elsewhere. We need to keep an eye to grab the bargains. The shop is bit narrow to move around.

They are also very helpful and will order in any books which you want which is great. With the Woolworths closing down this is the place for stationary in Milton Keynes and they often have offers on, especially around the beginning of school terms. I do find WH Smiths more expensive than other places, such as supermarkets and the gone Woolworths, but everything is of an excellent quality, so there is no false economy there. They do sometimes have books signings, but not that often. All the staff are nice and helpful, plus they stock chocolates bonus!

This store is on two floors downstairs you have books, from biographies, baby books, educational, fiction and magazines; you can also buy sweets and drinks from here. Upstairs which is my favourite part of the store to visit you can find all the stationary you could possibly need, notebooks, diaries and anything you could need to keep yourself organised. They also sell music CD's, blank CD's, arts and craft activities ect This store is nice and spacious, it is my favourite store to visit and the staff are really very nice.

Found that this one was a little on the expensive side compared to most of the others, and they also have a lot of non-second hand items there not just the normal second hand bits you expect to find in a charity shop. It's not a huge shop, but they have a lot in there so well worth a look. Quite a few books, but around the £2 mark for a paperback which seems quite high to me when most charity shops sell paperbacks from 20p to £1.

They also don't seem to make distinctions between an item's original cost so you end up paying the same for something from Primark as you would for Monsoon or even designer items! Overall it's good value for money though as it is competitively priced and sells everything from a ball of string to the latest copy of your fave glossy magazine. Has a variety of items for sale which change, from Books, toys, art materials, stationery, calenders. A good place at Christmas to find cheap stocking fillers and cards. I can't walk up the High Street without popping in, don't always buy something but i find the whole shop fascinating. Aside from out experience: This shop is on the interchange retail park in Kempston. It is large and stocks a huge variety of products. At the back of the shop they have the babies r us section which I know not all shops have. I do like how toys r us makes sure they have something for everyone, from DVDs to bikes to keyboards! As a whole, I find toys r us to be expensive compared to other toy shops.

We had been told when we brought it that they did a price promise, but the hassle we had getting them to accept this even with proof was terrible and we have decided never to shop in toys r us again. The staff did not know their products and obviously hadn't been trained properly. The manager was quite rude. In the end they did refund the difference, but only after 1 hour of arguing!
