Kyle did the same thing to us. We started a deck job by signing a contract in March 2018. He left our job and didn't return. The last time he was on our job was June 2018 He tells lies after lie. He has health emergencies every other week and tells you his brother who is a fireman is going to help him finish up etc. He either has material that is for our job or he lied about buying it. I'm sure he doesn't have the material and it's one of the many lies he told. He brought his dad to do the bid and talked about pride in work etc. don't buy that line He has no pride in his work and his word isn't worth anything. My experience has been the same as Troy's: I paid Kyle a 50% deposit needed "to get on his schedule" for a large demo project and after that he never returned to do the work. This now goes without saying but: NEVER pay a contractor a large deposit without really, really good justification (e.g. custom materials need to be ordered) and NEVER hire Kyle Osborne / OTL Services. read more
