Before Christmas 2013 Erica cut & styled my hair & introduced me to the wonders of Argan oil. What a shine! And inexpensive at the salon. ($20?) Everyone loved my hair style & for the first time ever I'm actually going back to get the snappy re-style that one gets 4 or so many weeks later to keep it looking it's best! Its also a gorgeous setting inside, clean and professional, convenient parking and location, etc. Joe is one of the nicest guys ever, you can't help but love him. My first time going there, I felt so welcomed by everyone, and his wife (the other owner) even came up and introduced herself and was such a sweetheart. TBH I find that at some the better salons that a lot of the people can be somewhat snobby in a sense, and can make you feel a little bit uncomfortable. But the people at teknik couldn't be any more sweet and friendly. Joe always knows exactly how to give me the hair I dream of, even when I can't pinpoint it myself or describe it fully. They are miracle workers there the price is fair and costs the same as any of the good salons in the area. I'm so grateful that someone I know referred me to teknik, as I had such a difficult time finding the right hairdresser for me since I moved to the area. Every time I went somewhere else prior to finding them, my hair always ended up being underwhelming and sub par. And they'd never be able to give me exactly what I wanted or asked for. But I couldn't be happier with the incredible results I get with Joe from teknik. He always listens intently to everything I want and I love that about him. Furthermore, even though the place was not busy, it seemed rushed and the clippers were highly favoured over scissors (not a big fan of this). Lastly, the owner's practice of blowing hair off my neck instead of using a blow dryer or brush was very disgusting, not to mention unhygienic and rude.
