Hidden in what seems to be a gated residential complex, this family restaurant offers excellent cuisine at reasonable upscale prices.
The venue is built atop a 13th Century convent, literally on what used to be a water mill. The restaurant has a very unique charm and the owners are happy to guide you through the small corridors of the over 800-year old water mill, their very own piece of history!
Loriano Lunghi, our waiter (and relative of the restaurant's founder) made our experience marvelous. Although he doesn't speak English (he actually only speaks Italian), he is funny and very attentive to all customers.
We ordered lasagna, bruschetta, Caprese salad, tiramisu and chocolate lava cake. All were wonderful, we were all very much pleased with our food and would definitely visit again.
This place also offers cooking classes and private home dinners in which they send their chefs! We did this before, this is actually how we met them, and were so happy with the culinary experience that we decided to visit their place.
