This place served the BEST meal during my Rome trip!…read more I found this gem thanks to YouTube. The person on the youtube video noted that they enjoyed the meal so much they returned for another dining experience prior to leaving Rome. It was recommended in the video to make a reservation. As such, I made a reservation for 7pm (opening time) on a Tuesday. We walked from the colosseum to the restaurant. We arrived about 45 minutes early and had to kill some time. We decided to walk around the neighborhood and actually ended up having some gelato. We walked back over to the restaurant promptly at 7pm. The restaurant seating area is fairly limited inside. However, when in Italy, you better believe there is also outdoor seating. We opted to dine indoors. We had a view of the open kitchen which was nice watching all the plates get plated and come out! The staff here were amazing! They were so attentive and helpful. When taking our order they were happy to make adjustments. It was clear that they wanted each guest to have an amazing experience. We opted for the 5 course tasting menu that cost 55 euros per person! Coming from the United States this is a steal of a price for a 5 course tasting menu. They even allowed us to make some adjustments. We are able to switch a dish out to try the feature of the night. The food was prepared to order. we were able to witness the meals be prepared as our seats faced the open kitchen. The kitchen staff work great together. It was a nice experience to with ness that. The food was hands down the best tasting foodI had while in Rome! Starting with the bread and ending with the tiramisu, I enjoyed every bite! I would HIGHLY recommend checking out this spot when in Rome!

Mostly disappointed in my meal here. Service was friendly and the location in trastavere was great,…read morebut the food was a let down. I don't eat pork, so my choices were quite limited. I ordered the crab pasta- this was probably my least favorite meal in Rome. The flavors did not go well together, and it was overly salted. I did not finish the meal (maybe had a third). The bread selection was excellent: The tiramisu was a personal disappointment as well- I was expecting a more traditional tiramisu, but the lady fingers weren't soaked well, and it was essentially a deconstructed tiramisu. (The server poured coffee on the lady fingers after delivering the tiramisu to the table). I would not return to this restaurant.
