I really liked the spa area, and got an awesome massage (wished I had taken more pictures of the spa area, but you will just have to go to their website to see for yourself). However, the best part of this hotel was the service!!! Long story, so bear with me if you are interested: My friends and I rented a car that was supposed to come with proper fitting snow chains... welp, we start going up the mountain and inevitably have to get them out and attach them to the tires. Turns out, the company did not give us the right snow chains for the tire size of our rented vehicle!!! So, there we are on the mountain at about 10:30/11pm with heavy snow and no where to go. We call the hotel, and the manager personally picks us up in the hotel van while we had to leave our rental car along the snowy, icy road. The next day, after being on the phone with the car company for hours, it seemed like the company was not going to provide much help. We went to the hotel front desk to explain our situation, and they ORDERED AND PAID UPFRONT for the correct sized snow chains from a local merchant (after coming with us to measure the car's tire size). We of course, paid them back :). I can confidently say we would be in major trouble without these people. My friends and I are incredibly thankful that we had a hotel with such awesome service. Anyways, I highly recommend going to this resort. Besides everything I stated above, the skiing was so fun! The nearby slopes have something for every ability level (mostly reds and blues, with one black run). It was not too crowded at all, and maybe we just timed it right? but the snow was perfect. I truly hope I get to go back someday!!

The breakfast of fresh fruit with fresh baked Italian breads and croissants and fresh honeycomb overlooking the valley was dreamlike . Barga , is about a 10 minute drive through fairytale landscapes to a multitude of restaurants and trattorias , charming is an understatement . I would highly recommend this fantastic hotel . My husband is premiere elite with Marriott bonvoy and is suppose to be automatically promised a room with the best view and our first room was just a brick wall. We went back to the front desk and said something esp since it was our honeymoon and they were kind enough to upgrade us to a terrace view. I will say if you stay here take advantage of the free breakfast but go out of town for lunch and dinner. We did dinner at the resort the first night and waited an hour once seated to order... you can go to the cute town in barga to go out to eat. Many delicious food we found and cute bars. The rooms are very nice! We did a couples massage one day and loved it. Love the vibe at the pool also. Will be back for sure!

What makes this hotel a true stand out is its staff. They took care of my family of nine, we travelled with my parents and my aunt. They really went out of their way to make are stay memorable and a want to return. Particular staff, Stephanie & Giada, made all of our beach reservations and bikes for all. Called taxis, pointed us in the right direction and became our surrogate family! Stephanie lent her car to get us to the laundry mat one day when taxis were scarce! The hotel has an agreement with one of the beach clubs, so we were able to book a cabana for 50 Euro for the entire day. Fantastic experience at the beach and within walking distance of the hotel. Our room included two bedrooms, one bath with plenty of space and air conditioning in both bedrooms. The breakfast spread was fresh with many choices of pastries, eggs, meat and cheeses and we ordered specialty coffee. Anything we needed was provided with a smile, will definitely go back to Forte Dei Marmi and to this hotel The decorations were unique and perfect for a girls' getaway or for a romantic couple!

Don't expect big American style rooms and TV sets- because this is Italy! Everything is smaller here because there is less space for everything! But Hotel Dany is BIG in many ways: amazingly helpful and such friendly staff, super clean rooms, very comfy beds, towel warmer, aircon/heat, bar fridge, full size dressing mirrors and there's even a phone in the bathroom! Hotel provided parking next to the building. Nice bar in reception area. But read to the end: breakfast with absolutely amazing variety is so beautifully presented! Italian pastries, including breads, croissants and home made cake, fresh cheeses, not just a couple- but choose from half a dozen different kinds, same with the honey. Not one kind out of a plastic squeeze bottle. No, seven different kinds in neatly arranged glass jars representing the whole of Italy and various flavors. Fresh fruit salad, a large variety of cereal, even gluten free, parma ham and other cold meats. You might like salmon for breakfast? It's there. Eggs and bacon cooked to your preference. The coffee had to be Italian, it was soo good. Everything was served with the warmest smile. Would I recommend this amazing little hotel? Only to my best friends, not everyone, cause I'd want to have a room available next time I come to stay.
