Technician responded in a timely manner, first wanted to check the filter. Found it to be very clean. Went to the exterior and found the back side of the unit to be very dirty. He was convinced this is why it wasn't working properly. He used my water hose and washed it for 3 minutes. He checked temperatures from the unit again and said it was blowing 10 degrees cooler. If that fixed the problem then great. I then received a bill for $250. I requested to speak with a manager immediately following to discuss the bill. I was told I would receive a call back within a few days. That call didn't come. Also after using the unit it did not cool any better. I contacted the company again to inquire about service and hearing from a manager and was told it was the end of the day. It would be tomorrow. That was 4 days ago. Still haven't heard from the company, however, they've cashed my check for $250.

Company runs hot and cold...no pun intended. One job they did for us...did an awesome job! Next…read morejob we called them for, they stated they would call us back...never called back. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and called again, left a message...never called back. Called a year later for another job, they showed up and looked at our fireplace...they gave opinion on problem and we asked them to give us a quote on a new fireplace insert replacement and to fix existing problem. They stated they would have it for us by the end of the day...never happened. Once again, called them and left a message stating we were interested in receiving the quote...never called back and never received a quote. Recommendation for the company...try not to over-promise which forces you to under-deliver. If you state you're going to call...call! If you state you're going to send a quote...send the quote! We are excellent customers and we pay in full and are timely in our payment. Losing this type of customer can be very costly to your business, especially when it comes to word-of-mouth reference. He spent a lot of time with us took measurements showed us which stove would work for our house. At first we were looking at fireplace inserts and then decided on a wood stove, he spent a lot of time on the features of the product and how easy it would be to operate. I truly think this is a great company. I'm very happy that we have them close to our home. Thank you so much to everyone that works there at Bruening heating. Great products at a good value. We have used Peters for the 30 years we've lived in Quincy. Whether on our personal home or rental…read moreproperty, we've always received prompt service by professional technicians and charged fair prices. As an example of their service, recently the 30+ year old system in our home failed in the middle of the 94-98-degree heatwave. Called Peters and they looked at everything and presented us with options, essentially patch the old system or replace part or all of it. We opted for a full replacement. They scheduled an install crew for the next day as they had the needed components in stock. The next day the crew arrived at 7:30 am and by 3:00 pm they were headed out the door and we had nice cool air running! We've heard horror stories from several friends who have had terrible experiences with other local HVAC outfits, and while we don't like to see friends have bad luck, it sure makes us appreciate Peters all the more! The other upside to Peters is they're Carrier dealers. In our experience their is simply no equal to Carrier. Quiet, reliable, and fairly priced.
