I haven't had chiropractic care for a while now. Last time I did, insurance paid for all of it -…read moreeven some massage. Now, I didn't even check as I'm trying not to max out my deductible and OOP spending this year - as I've done too many years in the past. Which is why I avoided going the traditional route - through my GP for an xray, PT and finally an MRI. I looked for a Groupon like I've used in the past. I just didn't find anything like what I was looking for - a diagnostic xray, consult and adjustment. Instead, looking on Yelp I found this Joint Connection offering - near my house which is important. I understood the concept - membership for ongoing treatment. I read the reviews which were mostly very good and also checked out the pricing. I made an appointment for the $29 visit as my back hurt so bad, I had to do SOMETHING. I was losing sleep with the pain and my exercise routine was suffering. I walked in and saw greeted right away. I filled out a questionnaire about my medical history and current issues. While doing so, others came in, checked in and were quickly seen and adjusted by the doc. When it was my turn, the doc asked me some questions and quickly had me on the table. I was familiar with the adjustments he did and while I was afraid it would really hurt and aggravate my pain, it wasn't bad and I did feel a little relief afterwards. Mostly importantly, I found out the cause of my pain had been a change in sleep positions about 6 months ago. That coincided with the timing the pain started and the location of where it was. The doc suggested a sleep position which I really appreciated. I spoke to the scheduler after seeing the doc and she talked through the options moving forward. They were consistent with what I'd seen on line. I was hesitant to sign up right there and then given the 2 month minimum membership term. However, I quickly did the math and knew that it was cheaper to invest this money that start again with my GP. The doc added 2 visits for the 1st month so I could come twice a week for the first 2 weeks. I had started on a Friday - so I returned the following week on Monday and Thursday. I'll do that again next week. The only think I would change - I like the one doc I saw one of the visits better than the other. I have to figure out their schedules so I can come when the preferred doc is doing the adjustments. So far, I'm still having pain and haven't been able to sleep in the suggested position. However, I've mostly avoided the position that caused the problem. Most days I feel better - unfortunately, today was not one of those days. I have found that an ice pack on my back (which I had not been doing) really helps. Highly recommend you give this a try. It kinds of reminds me of Urban Acupuncture - which makes non-traditional treatment affordable for the regular person.

Defenetly not my favorite location. I used to go here until the switched Drs. I don't feel like…read morethey are focused on their clients it's all about a membership.

This one, however, is super convenient to my home (the other was by a former work location). All my experience here has been during COVID, so I can only speak to their practices during this time - and suffice it to say, I am quite comfortable coming here. They are 100% masks all the time, screen everyone with temps, sanitize everything and so on. I am very conservative and will only go places I feel safe. So I was referred here for PT on my shoulder - chronic shoulder pain from yoga every day. It didn't impede by practice too much - but it wasn't getting better - only worse. There are 3 regular ladies working there - a PT, asst PT and office person. They also usually have interns working. I was assessed the first time (am attending a 2nd time for different injury) by an intern with close PT oversight. An 8 session planned was laid out and I came for PT 2 x week. I generally worked with the same people, doing the same exercises, adding new ones and taught a few to do at home. After the 1st 8 sessions, I saw improvement and opted for 8 more sessions. I was confident that the therapy was helping, that these ladies knew what they were doing, and I enjoyed working with them. At the end of the 16 sessions, there was improvement but still impairment. I returned to my doc and she administered a cortisone shot. And over the next week or two, the remaining problem went away. 100% recovery. After a few weeks passed, I decided to return for more PT - to work on a different injury that I first sought treatment for in 2016. I went through PT, chiropractic therapy, massage, acupuncture and cupping. Nothing helped. I gave up before I spent lots more $$ on experimental treatment not covered by insurance. I had my assessment last week and have already begun the at-home exercises. First session is tomorrow and I'm moderately hopeful that I'll see improvement. What's the worst that could happen: I've already maxed my out-of-pocket payments, so no new cost to me but time.

He is very professional, kind, knowledgeable and excellent in gearing my physical therepy to my specific needs. I had gone to Mt Carmel East prior to going to Chris. I didn't receive any Physical therepy other than a tens unit on my back once. Needless to say I didn't go back after 4 "treatments". If anyone needs physical therepy I strongly recommend going to Nova Care and working with Chris, you won't be wasting your time as he really knows what he is doing! Ten stars to him!

I see Dr Popp upstairs for my hand. His office is there as well as one of the nicest hand PT clinics that I have been to. Ive been to OSU, OrthoNeuro and one near Polaris... this by far is the better that I have been to. Doctor Popp examined my hand. Gave me a cortisone shot in my thumbs knuckle/joint. Warned me it would hurt. It hurt but not as bad as I thought it would. Later that night my thumb started to feel much better. In two days it felt better than it had felt in two years. While at this appointment he sent me to the hand therapists. There I met Cheryl who made me a custom brace. Let me tell you. That was worth its price. I have been to OSU 2xs for this injury. Each time OSU fit me with the wrong brace. The brace OSU last gave me injured my thumb even more just putting it on. This new brace! Wow. My thumb doesn't hurt in it. It rests it in the appropriate position while the hard shell protects it from accidental bumps I highly recommend Dr Pott at Orthopedic One for thumb injuries.
