At the appointment I got the direct extension to the Hebron clinic. They seem to have a central switchboard. So after waiting I called the Hebron office. They called Dr. Choudhary and then called me back and said he couldn't do PRP after all. Now I have to find it elsewhere. I like Dr. Choudhary but was disappointed about this yes then no. It's hard to put our experience at Cincinnati Children's Hospital into words, but allow me to try…read more We transferred our son's care to Cincy Children's when we saw that they not only employ some of the best experts in pediatric pulmonary hypertension but they also have a clinic dedicated just to this rare children's condition. And it was one of the best decisions we have ever made. The PH team -- and especially Dr. Critser and Nurse Kimberly -- has been there for us since our initial visit. The team is very easy to get in touch with; they gave us the number to the PH cell phone, and we text with them regularly. They made changes and additions to our son's medication plan, and a week into our care with them, we reached out about some worrying symptoms. They had us come up to the hospital that day to be admitted. A week-long hospital stay followed, but out of that we got a plan, and our son has been free of serious symptoms. He is able to run and play with other kids -- something we didn't know would be possible again. And regarding our hospital stay, it was about the best you could get. No one likes being the hospital, but all of the nurses, attending doctors and other techs and staff were compassionate and patient. The room was comfortable, and you could order meals from the iPad in the room. The cafeteria downstairs was also top notch. The past six months have been full of worry and heartache for our son. And while PH is a serious condition that we continue to take seriously, coming to Cincy Children's has given us new perspectives and new hope. We really can't thank this great facility enough!

I presently see a chiropractor at my other home state for an adjustment only and it is covered at 100%. No out-of-pocket. It was a simple question and I didn't want to waste my time or theirs. They said it depends on whether the doctor thinks you need. I politely said I really don't care what the doctor thinks I need All I need is an adjustment can you do that they said yes. After I show up there and fill out forms for an hour, literally, they come to me and and say it in a whisper that the billing department needs to collect $100 from you and I asked for what and they said they do it because you're using Medicare which is what I told them upfront. The $100 would be in addition to any other fees that they might drum up including x-rays which I never had and I've been treated by many chiropractors successfully. You don't have to be a genius to see what's going on. Anyway I thanked them politely and left. I don't know why doctors just can't be honest with people? I know they try to get them "in the tent" and then rack up the bill and most people don't know what to do other than pay it. They prey on this. Shame on them. I found another chiropractor within a mile of there, went in and got My back adjusted. In and out no out of pocket. Please ask questions and don't be afraid to leave or not pay if they're not up front with you.
