He gave me an excruciatingly painful injection. I asked if he would use numbing spray. He did HOWEVER he sprayed and injected at the same time without giving the spray to numb the area. WELL, after 2 days my toe was still inflamed. I made an appointment with a foot specialist at OrthoCarolina. My toe was infected and now I'm in a boot and taking an antibiotic for 10 days. I also want to mention when originally went in he didn't out on gloves and just picked up the scalpel from the countertop. I'm not sure it had been sterilized! DONT GO THERE.

I've never experienced a doctor that was as dismissive as Dr. Lu, who raced through her "speech" about all of the negative aspects of my situation, without one positive or hopeful word of encouragement. Telling me multiple times my treatment would take at least a year. The worse part of all was that she left an open wound on my foot where she took a sample. I was advised prior that it would simply be the clipping of my toenail. This is extremely dangerous for me as a Type 2 Diabetic, which she knew. I will not be returning to this office for any future services, and I would recommend anyone considering Charlotte Footcare Associates, think twice if they care about being billed correctly and having a doctor that has some semblence of compassion and care for their patients.

I let him know that I was getting great complimentary care from Josh at Architech Sports Physical Therapy in Cornelius, and he listened to that attentively, and then he provided me with suggestions for the type of footwear I should wear now, explained proper injury care (ice, Epsom salt baths etc.) mentioned exercises to avoid and gave me helpful anti-inflammatories. My x-rays revealed a smaller spur than I had anticipated, so I will follow his recommendations and see how I progress on my own from here. He didn't push for an unnecessary follow-up like some physicians do, and I appreciated that. We're so happy we found Dr. Quist!
