Extremely rude receptionist!!! There is absolutely no excuse for someone who greets you to be rude when you ask a question.

The Belmont "Outpost" of Charlotte Eye, Ear, Nose & Throat associates is truly a hidden gem. The Office Manager is a true gentleman who deeply cares and takes pride in his work and will go the extra distance to accommodate patients. He's truly a great individual. Front end office staff is caring, compassionate and efficient. Audiologist and Nursing staff are incredibly caring, kind and take the time to listen to patients in a nonjudgmental way. Nonetheless, the "Rock Star" of this operation is Otolaryngologist - Christopher L. Tebbit, MD. Dr. Tebbit is truly exceptional and has a bedside manner of the highest level. Dr. Tebbit is energetic, positive and takes pride in his craft. I can't say enough positive things about this medical professional. I would trust him to care for my very own patients for my family. Dr. Tebbit is backed up by a team of ENT Nurses and Support Staff that share his mantra of providing high quality and compassionate ENT care. After all, G-d only gave you two ears. He is truly a Mensch. Thank you Dr. Tebbit for taking care of this broken Physician once again. G-d bless you and may he continue to keep you strong and healthy. With Gratitude, Your Patient & Colleague - Dr. Orange ;-)

I was examined by Dr. Matthew Wilde in the South Park Office who confirmed retinal detachment. I had surgery with Dr. Justin Brown of that practice on 05/29/2026 at Novant Outpatient surgery in Charlotte where I had a gas tamponade. Dr. Brown provided follow up care on 05/29 in the South Park Office and 06/08, 06/29, and 08/10 in the Belmont office. At the 08/10 visit Dr. Brown confirmed a cataract as a complication of the retina repair surgery and referred me to be seen by Dr. Casey Mathys in the Belmont office which I scheduled an appointment for 09/11/2026. Upon arrival the front desk staff on 09/11 I was asked if I was making a payment on the outstanding balance from the May surgery to which I stated that I had mailed a payment on Tuesday 09/08/2026. At that point I paid my $80 copay for this visit and was seated in the waiting room. Dr. Mathys's staff proceeded to prep me for examination, numbing my eyes for pressure check, imagining tests, refractometry and visual acuity, and dilated my pupils. At this point I had been sent to the waiting room for the second time when a member of Dr. Mathys's treatment team escorted me into a treatment room and informed me that he refused to see me due to the outstanding surgical balance, there were no business office staff available to discuss the issue, and my appointment was cancelled. If the outstanding balance was an issue, why did his office send me multiple email and text reminders of this visit? I understand their position, but they had a month to inform me rather than waiting until I was already in the treatment process and had accepted my copay that my appointment was cancelled at which point I was left with blown pupils and no sunlight protection. I feel that once treatment had started Dr. Mathys had no right to unilaterally cancel the evaluation. Second, I had been hospitalized at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia with severe vertigo from 09/08/2026 to 09/09/2026 that no doubt was exacerbated by the difficulty in seeing due to the cataract caused by treatment by Dr. Brown, and it was with great difficulty that I even managed to get to today's appointment. I could have been spared pain and suffering if they had been open with me prior to my arrival. I now have no choice to break continuity of care if I wish this to be resolved promptly. The joke is on Casey Mathys. I have met my OoP and deductible for this year. Whoever does my cataract surgery is getting paid in full by Aetna.

First, it took three weeks to get an appointment when I had a referral from my doctor due to a…read morerash/burn pop up on my hand. The company does not leave any open spots for emergencies. My particular circumstance was not an emergency come to find out, thank God. Second, the doctor I saw stated on my paper work that she offered a full body check but she did not. I pointed out a couple of moles that I thought needed to be looked at and she biopsied one. That one came back positive for cancer. I felt rushed during the appointment. Rekha was the doctor I saw during the first visit. The doctor who removed the cancer was better. Dr. Kline, was not as rushed and more relaxed but when I was cleared to have the place stitched up, I was told I would have to come back at 2:00 because the plastic surgeon was not there. I was never told any of this. Now I have to go home with my face cauterized and take a whole day off work just to come back and 2:00 and get numbed again to get sewed up. I asked the woman at the front if someone else could sew me up and she said no, that I should have requested it all be done in the morning when the appointment was made but no one ever told me I would have to come back at 2:00. This place has not been that great of an experience. I will update after my 2:00 appointment but as of now, this place needs some help in the customer communication and satisfaction area. Update: my stitch up went well. The office called and explained why I had to come back and I understand. I wish I would have been told when I made the appointment but she did apologize for that. The experience with Kline, Timmons and the woman who called has convinced me to give them another shot. We all have a rough day every now and then, including myself, especially during a pandemic. PS, they did not have the referral from my doctor so I'm not sure what happened there. Maybe my doctor dropped the ball on that one. Update yet again: just found out that my Aflac Critical Illness policy covers this procedure but I have to pay Piedmont Plastic Surgery $15 to fill out 1 page worth of information on a form in order for me to receive my policy payment. Really:(

Extremely poor platform, but what is even more frustrating is the extremely poor response from staff. I had to ask for a supervisor before I got a response. Now, ghosting again! I love my doctor, but this office is the poorest excuse for healthcare that I have ever experienced. My office experience was totally fine, but since then it has been utterly zero, pathetic at best. Parking is ample, as well as handicap spots. Located in an easily found area. It's really the patient portal and patient follow up!

On the fence about this clinic. My husband had pretty good results with his back surgery so that…read moreis the 'plus' and the office is clean. However, the wait for an appointment is usually weeks or even months unless a referral is made, the waiting time in the office is WAY overly excessive and the waiting room seating is absolutely awful...and that's being complimentary. For nearly 3 years, we have complained about the seating and EVERY visit we witness others getting up, repositioning, talking about it. After having waited 1 1/2 hrs past our scheduled appointment, we were told that the Dr "wasn't running too far behind". My husband was seen over 2 hrs past his appt time with barely any acknowledgement of the inconvenience. We have to make sure we either schedule appointments on a day off or take a day off to go. When given an appointment time and arriving accordinginly, patients and their families deserve to be seen in a timely manner or at least be given information about delays. If it's 'ok' for the dr to run 2 hrs late, is it ok for a patient to arrive 2 hrs late??? Personally, I'll drive to Huntersville and keep with my own spine specialist. My husband says that the seating is designed for job security. The patient's will continue to have pain and keep going back, and they will get the family members as patients too after developing problems while waiting to be seen. Very unprofessional and disrespectiful of their patients who by definition are already in pain before even being seen....

First impressions, the building that houses the office actually brings back bad memories of an endocrinologist that I saw twenty years ago. Surgical Specialists has a very muted but welcoming office. I find that I'm more at ease by their music system playing Joan Jett. The office was clean and bright. Everything seemed to be designed to put a patient at ease. The staff were friendly too. We were led back to an examination room where my vitals were gathered. The surgeon joined us after a spell and examined my wound. He told me about what he wanted to do and the timeframe that it would occur within. There seems to be some urgency. The surgeon actually spent a good amount of time with us and it was appreciated.

We were not…read moreable to use a dermatologist because my daughter is mentally handicapped and needed to be put under for the procedure. The dermatologist said that I would need a general surgeon to do surgery and referred us to Surgical Specialists of Charlotte. I would not recommend Dr. Dhiman for surgery on the face. The area that was removed was under her right eye. Dr. Dhiman only used 4 surface level stitches to close the incision. There were no stitches used that dissolved in order to keep the incision from coming apart. When the stitches were removed a week after the surgery, the incision completely opened up leaving an ugly hole in her face. The after care instructions were not correct for surgery on the face. She told me just to use iodine and keep it dry. The dermatologist told me to use Vaseline to keep it moist. The iodine burned so badly because it was an open wound. I was only able to use it once. I'm not sure why her instructions were completely different from what information that I was told by others who had had the same surgery and by the dermatologist. There was no follow up appointment even though the incision opened up. I asked if they wanted me to bring her in and they said it wasn't necessary. Her primary care physician is the one who removed the stitches due to the bad weather when it snowed. We couldn't get to the office due to the weather and the weekend. We didn't want to wait until the next week because the longer the stitches stay in the face the more scarring there can be. As of now, the scar on her face is very obvious. The dermatologist said that she would most likely need plastic surgery in order to smooth it out. Given that she would have to be put under for that, we won't be having that done. Dr. Dhiman was a nice lady and she was very kind at the pre op appointments. I just would not recommend her for this type of surgery. Also, while she was under anesthesia, they drew blood to run some tests on her. Whoever did the blood draw, stuck her arm and hand five times and left her arm badly bruised. That took about weeks before the pain in her arm was better. I know that it wasn't a problem with her veins because I saw them put the IV in her other arm with no issues before the surgery.

I would be 15 minutes late. (I had started the call before i left where i was) When someone answered the call and I stated my name & that I would be running late by 15 minutes, that I can reschedule if needed. Kristal(?) Immediately followed with "oh god jesus christ help me." I paused and said "im sorry?" To which she said "I just have a lot going on in the office." Okay I get that. However I was immediately placed on hold- without any response or telling; fine i get it if its busy. Then the pattern of being put on hold, taken off hold with no conversation just background laughter and chatting, back on hold- happened 8 times. She took hold off at one point asked "did you get my email?" I went to answer and quickly realized she wasn't talking to me as I went right back on hold. We played this game the entire duration of my ride. As i approached the building & was off of hold i asked "should i come in?-" immediately put on hold. The phone call lasted up until I pulled into the parking lot. At this point we reached 25 minutes of sitting on the phone. Not one "we will need to reschedule." or "You're okay." I understand being busy. I understand things happen and I dont typically write reviews- this happens to be my first but as soon as I got in and said my name is was met with "unfortunately we will have to reschedule." Which again is fine by me. I didnt care in the first place. But that took under a minute to look at my appointment, tell me and reschedule me. But in a 25 minute phone call- I was the only one to speak besides the way the phone was answered. I am disappointed as I had to leave my dad at the ER when I couldve just turned right back around instead of wasting gas & time on both ends. The dr i have seen was very helpful, quick, very kind and welcoming towards my daughter being there the first time but the phone etiquette and the way of conversation or lack there of was beyond poorly handled.
