There were professional bags, there were everyday big slouch bags, there were bags with floral print. It was the summer sandals that actually got me in here, there was a couple of pairs that I thought were groovy but they were not on sale, they were approx $100. I also noticed quite nice jewellry and a couple of well priced bikinis - $30, which is really cheap for a bikinni they are more like $100. The staff were really friendly and informed me that Aldo is Canadian and is a massive chain in the U.S - it's only just becoming here. Well now I know.

Suddenly the huddled masses could afford stuff the Hiltons were wearing, oh happy day! Sportsgirl remains a hugely popular brand across several demographics, and the Bondi Junction store is the best of the lot. The staff here are really lovely, something I've found amiss in other branches, and the shop is currently themed "American Road Trip" (I think, they don't have a big sign up or anything!)- it was enticing enough for me to wander in when I'm meant to be saving. Sales racks are towards the back and scattered around the edges of the shop, and they stock great accessories as well as clothes you might just see a Hilton in one day.

Sportsgirl employed top designers to re-vamp their wardrobe so to speak. What eventuated was some really great fashion forward designs for affordable prices. Going to a music festival and don't want to spend a fortune on shoes that will get trashed, then you can pick some up here that won't break the bank. The designers need to be applauded because as I am not screaming out to people where I got that great maxi from, it does get commented on. A lot! A vibey shop with cute young things at the counter, don't be embarrassed about purchasing a pair of $20 sunnies or some hippy earrings. Everyone's doing it.

She is an enthusiastic sales person but if you're willing to accept her help she really will pull something fantastic for you. I am loathe to say that is caters for women 'of a certain age', 'cos I ain't that far off that age myself, yet I still can't see myself heading here for fashion: it's all a bit too bowls club. Which leads me to why I visited in the first place: Opulance is known to stock a good collection of golf apparel. And it does. But I have two objections: firstly, the golfwear is mixed in with other 'general sportswear' which I can't quite see the need for (it's sort of high-end comfortwear - put it on for a long flight in the hopes of an upgrade), and the second is the price. I just can't bring myself to pay $150+ for a sleeveless golf shirt. Maybe I'm just not quite 'of that age' yet, and I'll eat my words in a few years time and be loving the comfortwear.
