THE.BEST.EVER. I recommend Mike and his team at Ornata 100%. My husband and I hired Ornata for what planned to be a master bath and kitchen remodel. A full gut reno later (6000+ sq feet) and we are beyond thrilled with the results. While we love the final product, we enjoyed working with Mike and his team even more. I was nervous heading into a reno as it was our first experience renovating a home, and I was 6mos pregnant when we started. However, working with Mike was a dream. He is honest, thorough, hard working, meticulous, trustworthy and very knowledgeable. My husband is extremely Type A and likes to understand every detail and be in control of the situation. Mike took the time at every turn to educate us about what was happening, why it was happening, and our options. He never tried to up sell us, rather, he always provided options and a rationale for each. He gained my trust entirely with his actions. Bottom line - Mike is a great guy with a phenomenal business and product. He always treats his sub contractors with respect and does the same for his clients. Mike has the perfect demeanor for this job. Renovations can be stressful, take longer than expected, and cost more than planned. Despite all of this, Mike was incredible at outlining the timeline, cost, and potential hurdles from the onset. After a gut renovation and 5mos later, we are now looking to build a 1000+ sq foot addition to the house. The only man we will trust with the job is Mike and Ornata. read more

We've now used Ornata on two home projects. On both occasions, Mike & his team went out of their way to ensure quality of work and a smaller budget. In fact, in situations where they easily could have made more money, they avoided it to save me paying more and suggested cheaper options. They were highly informative and helped educate me on the process and best course of action. Their responsiveness was extremely high. Moreover, on a personal note, on several occasions I saw each team member from the GC to the Sub interact with my toddler and wife. They were kind, gracious, and very respectful. Extremely disappointing experience working with this builder. Not only did they cut corners on our home, but it's nearly impossible to get a response via email or phone when trying to follow-up on fix items that are covered by warranty. They come across as nice people, but would never hire them to do anything in my home ever again. read more

We have now used Ornata on two of our home renovation projects. One was a complete gut of a bathroom and the other was a complete gut of our kitchen (including new MEP upgrades throughout the house, new flooring/painting, etc.) Each project has been a success and we plan on using them on any future projects. Communication was great, they maintained their schedule, made cost saving suggestions, and they have always helped out with any warranty issues.
