Next time I returned the Owner was slamming boxes around the shop and refused to speak to me, so Obviously I Left never to return again, The owner will also Attack you for not wearing a Face mask, which is no longer a legal Requirement, nor does he have any signage requesting the wearing of masks. However despite its somewhat dated appearance, Hobby Scene is a very pleasant and charming shop that offers its customers a decent selection of different hobby products that are more traditional past-times than the latest next-gen gaming consoles or an iPad. They sell a decent selection of remote control cars, helicopters and boats as well as a large selection of models and scalextric, all of which are available at pretty cheap prices. The staff there are friendly and able to offer a very personal service due to it being a small, family-run business. All in all, Hobby Scene is a lovely shop that whilst might not be for everyone (particularly youngsters in today's society) is a very useful source for many different hobbies.

You could easily spend a few hours perusing the stalls. We are not really into crafts, but we did enjoy the market side of the building. Unfortunately, we had a big lunch shortly before finding Heskins and we were not ready for another meal. There were loads of food options that looked fantastic. Instead, we grabbed a snack for the road- locally made potato chips and lemonade. The Rose Lemonade was unique and delicious. We enjoyed looking at the chickens and cows!

Chapel Gallery in Ormskirk is one such place, regularly featuring art exhibitions, art clubs and contemporary craft amongst other things, all under one roof. I try to appreciate many of the pieces there, but even those I don't really 'get' I still can find interesting at times and I do think that local places like this should definitely be supported. There is also a lovely little café on site, where visitors can dine on hot and cold food as well as a range of refreshments in a comfortable and relaxing dining atmosphere, including a menu that boasts seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients and dishes. A pleasant place to visit if you're feeling all cultured and stuff.

Despite the signs requesting…read moredonations urgently, the shop is brimming with stuff, all in really good condition and quite desirable; the people of Ormskirk are clearly very generous, or perhaps just wealthy. There was a good stock of cds and DVDs when I looked in and a decent selection of books. The store is a little tucked away off one of the major streets but do search it out.
