Before going out, we got a comprehensive safety brief and were informed of an area to keep our belongings. As we were cruising, we wore headsets with speakers in which captain Ryan was speaking about the surrounding environment. The headset also had microphones in which we would reply to him. As we got into the swampy area, the ride was smooth and as someone who is scared of water, I felt completely safe. Captain Ryan brought us to some wonderful hidden gems such as a few alligator nests where he explained their structure in detail and answered any questions with complete answers. We got very close to alligators and baby alligators (freshly hatched the day before) and it was an amazing experience. Captain Ryan made us feel confident that we were not in danger and if we were, he would be able to handle it. As we were finishing our tour it started to pour and we switched our headset out for a water friendly version. Rather than bringing us directly back to the docking area, we sat under an overpass to prevent getting completely drenched and possibly hurt. We made it back and Captain Ryan made sure we were all safe getting off. Overall, a truly wonderful experience. More than worth the price. It was beyond what we expected in the best ways.

It wasn't long until Steven stopped the boat and spotted our first big gator, probably a 7 footer!. Steven was knowledgeable of the area. Steven spoke about the gators, plant life such as the many lotus plants and local birds! We saw a total of 3 gators that morning. However, this ended up being amazing for our whole family. We booked online, and upon arrival we were welcomed into the office to complete waivers and check in. They handed us colored wristbands and had us wait out on the deck. While waiting, we were greeted by another kind couple selling homemade lemonade and treats. The conversation was so welcoming and friendly. We then met our captain/owner, who was so much fun. One of our daughters was nervous and one was excited. He hyped up the excited one while also easing the fears of the nervous one, which meant so much to us as parents. Once we boarded the boat, he went out of his way to make everyone comfortable and explained everything thoroughly. The tour itself was incredible. He went above and beyond showing us not only the lake, but all of God's beautiful creation around it. Beyond the gators, we saw bald eagles and their nests, egrets, so many birds, fish, snails, cows, goats, and so much wildlife. We will 100% be back. WOW!!! This was amazing. Our tour was suppose to start at 8:30 but we got our there early and they…read morelet us go at 8:00. First, our tour guides....Chris and Mandi...pure Disney Magic. They were awesome. Personable, friendly and so knowledgeable about the park and animals. They were both fun and worked so well together. We start with getting fitted for our harnesses. This adventure has some climbing and hiking through the woods. It's nothing that an out of shape 50 year old can't do cause I am one. After getting fitted for the harnesses and some safety briefing, it was off to the woods. First stop, hippos, where another guide met us who is an expert on hippos. We got to get up close and personal with them and learned all about them while getting to ask questions. Next on to the bridge over the crocodiles. Now, this walk over the crocs is a bit daunting. You're strapped in with your harness and walk over a suspended bridge with "broken" steps. It was fun but probably the most adventurous of everything you do. Everyone in our group loved it. At the end, another expect who knows all about crocs. Now we get into a safari truck and go through the safari portion. This was great cause it goes to places the regular safari tour does not. We got much close to the animals that the regular tour and got to stop and learn more about them. About half way through we stopped at a little raised hut for a bathroom break and African inspired snack. It was delicious and we got to spend some time with our guides and watch the animals. During the Trek, our guides we constantly taking picture for us and of us so we didn't have to worry about taking pictures. All the pics they take come free with your tour package so they don't hit you up to pay for them after. The pics turned out great! If you have a little adventure in you and want to get really close to the animals and learn about them, go on this tour. Ask for Chris and Mandi and you cannot go wrong!!!

We weren't the only ones either…read more Imagine an all-inclusive beach resort with cool animal excursions, food and drink, snorkeling, and so much more. The check-in process was a little slow-going, but the staff were friendly and professional and got us taken care of as soon as possible. On the website and in emails, they tell you what you need to bring and what they provide. DON'T FORGET YOUR WATERPROOF PHONE CASES! They don't include that on the list, but they sell them for $40. Bring your GoPro too, if you have one. For some of the special experiences, like the SeaVenture, they will offer to let you use one and then they will charge you for the videos and images. I was kicking myself because I forgot to bring either. Our interactions with the gift store staff were probably the least enjoyable. They seemed uninterested in assisting us and would rather count down their drawers or take inventory than ring us out. One lady told us that the other would assist us but eventually saw that the extensive wait time was unreasonable, especially in an otherwise empty store. Our most enjoyable interactions were with the marine life! I was not a fan of the full-body wetsuit that I was told was required for the SeaVenture. Sizing was eye-balled and inaccurate! I also got a pretty nasty rash after wearing it. I have extremely sensitive skin that did not agree with that material or the fact that it is shared and I'm not sure how they are cleaned/sanitized. When we arrived to the SeaVenture, almost every other participant was wearing the short-sleeved, shorts version of the wetsuit. I wish I had been given the option to choose. The dolphins were absolutely adorable and so entertaining. The aviary was fun and interesting, and the birds ate ALL DAY, despite what I'd read and heard through videos about needing to get there first thing in the morning. The current in the lazy river was the only thing lazy about the river. You do have to work to move around in there. I spent the majority of my time in the grand reef. Snorkeling for the first time in an atmosphere like this was 10 out of 10 highly recommended! If we come back again in the future, we'll skip the Day Bed rental, as we didn't utilize it at all. I got it just in case it started raining. I wanted us to have shelter. It did rain while we were there and I just stayed in the Grand Reef until it stopped! We had fun during our "under the sea" adventure (SeaVenture), but I could skip that next time. I would've opted for a dolphin encounter instead. The food was just okay. It's hard to mess up breakfast, so it was good, but lunch was meh. I had some very basic salmon and some creamy, but unseasoned, macaroni and cheese. We also had the drink package and tried to get our money's worth, but it isn't very wise to get tipsy and go snorkeling, so opted to focus on the snorkeling.

Started with a bit of shopping and a sip of wine at Maffrey's ... a way cool shop filled with many delightful items. From there we took a walk about to The Thirsty Topher bar and Ziggy's Pizza ... great slices with very unique toppings! Walked by a restaurant named Russell's ... then to The Piney for many - Shrimp and Grits (pink rice sourced from Congaree & Penn)! I have a honey, melted cream cheese on toast points that was delicious. Piney named in honor of the huge pineapple plantations that thrived for years here in this area (prior to trade embargo with Cuba and HI becoming a state!). Then to an organic cafe - Equalbro where we had a chicken salad wrap and a pineapple/tumeric smoothie. When all have checked in, you get your helmet & audio receiver. There's also a waiver to sign and a safety video to watch. Comfortable shoes are a must since your feet are integral to the Segway experience. My feet were still tingling after the tour was over. Some folks may complain this is a slow paced tour due to the requured training session. We're not those folks! And don't laugh at the helmets. We had a lead vehicle that wasn't good at inclines and he caused a pile up with 2 others falling and hitting their heads. That reminds me: Lean forward to go uphill and a little backwards to go downhill. This is all covered and practiced in the training session. We really appreciated the thorough overview of the X2 Segway (no longer available for sale). Then we got on-hands training - how to get on the X2, how to turn, go forward, stop, go up and down hills. We had done Segway tours on different models in the past, but really appreciated the refresher. Luis & Ashton were excellent tour guides. We learned some Chip & Dale trivia and saw remnants of the Ft Wilderness Railroad that was there in the 70s/80s. Would recommend this to anyone over 16 (with guardian) with good balance.

We spent several weeks in Italy, the first half we were with the Blue Walk and then we went off on our own to a few cities when the tour ended. The Blue Walk portion of our trip was BY FAR the best part. So relaxing. The guides handled everything. The hotels were just lovely, so many wonderful walks and meals and cocktails and we made some new friends. I thought it was a really good price for what we got, and I would definitely recommend The Blue Walk to others. The other members of the tour were lovely and we made several friends that we continue to keep in contact with. I just want to thank the guides for everything they did for us and thank God they spoke the language and could help us communicate to others.

We stayed in Barcelona for two nights and saw so much of the city along with tours of La Sagrada de familia and Santa Pau, a renovated hospital - now an art nouveau site. Along with city walks and wonderful food, it's a great way to get a feel for this bustling city. Jeannette and Suzy find such interesting restaurants and locations to visit and make the metro trips so easy. The Costa Brava portion was incredibly beautiful, walks between medieval towns, hikes along the coast, great food and an incredible hotel location. Art class with MaryBeth was stellar and we all made beautiful art journals, learning new techniques along the way. I can't recommend Blue Walk tours enough!
