I have been using them for a couple years now. In the last 6 months I have had to call back a few times due to the consistent roach and ant problems. The problem has not gotten resolved. The manager was not understanding. I would highly recommend taking your business to local companies. I have since switched and found better service with better pricing. read more

We've been using Orkin for several years and they have been nothing but wonderful! Louis in particular (who services our area) is patient, knowledgeable, kind, and responsive. I feel like we are in great hands with customized plans to take care of all our general pest needs. My only critique is that they are currently very understaffed in the way of termite control. We are anxiously awaiting more of their staff to become certified as it is a very specialized service as we have struggled to get someone to inspect and service our place for termites (we've been told there is currently only one person on the Big Island who is currently certified). This means we may have to look elsewhere for this particular service, which would be a bummer - I'd much rather stay in the Orkin family! read more

We are EXTREMELY pleased with our Orkin service. All of the technicians we've had are great, but our regular technician Lawrence is EXCEPTIONAL!! He is beyond knowledgeable - asks the right questions and solves our issues right away. He is responsive, reliable, and the model for customer service in any industry!! We have 2 young kids, and he always reassures us that every treatment is non-toxic but is still mindful to make sure everything is out of their reach. I would recommend Orkin 10 out of 10 times simply because of Lawrence and his excellent service. He takes pride in his work and truly shows his concern and care for our family and home. I like my service tech, but when I called the office about multiple notifications of a service window on a given date starting at 05:30am she talked over me and wouldn't listen to what I was telling her. She told me to call my tech and he would take care of the problem. I spoke with my tech the first time I received a 05:30am notice and he told me the office has a new scheduling program that he has no control over it. On the next couple of times I was due for service I received a start time of 05:30am. So I called the office and spoke with the woman who talked over me instead of listening. She wanted to argue with me instead of addressing the issue. Telling me to call my tech again isn't customer service. I'm ready to change service because I didn't get any SERVICE when I called. read more

I wish I can give them 0 star. Hired them to treat a termite infection in kitchen area. They asked me to signed a service contract and after half a year it is only getting worse. When calling back ask what's going on recently , there is no one want to take any responsibility. read more

Nope! We called them to treat an ant infestation and the problem was worse when they left. He was really only there abut 10 minutes and seemed more interested in landing an account than killing ants. Luckily we paid with a check - which we cancelled. Not sure what kind of scam they are running but I'm not buying into it. Update: 10-5-2018 When their agent left he swore what I was signing was just an acknowledgement of services. Turns out it was a contract and yesterday I got my first bill for monthly services. This is one of the WORST experiences we have ever had dealing with a branch office of a national company! These people sent out a very nice guy who saw how horribly infested we were with roaches in our kitchen. He lived VERY near by and said as a favor he would stop by more than once a month and give us some extra attention and we were totally charmed. We would have been HAPPY to have paid for that attention, but he offered so we accepted. He came 2 more times, very fast, in and out and not even saying Hi to us....and then he DISAPPEARED. He did not tell his office manager. He just left us without service. Finally I called the manager and he came out here and although he didn't do a service, he said he was very sorry this had happened. He made up some story that the guy's route had changed. We did just not believe him. You know how sometimes you get a feeling someone's lying to you? Well, we both got that feeling. Then he said he would send another tech guy up. Well, this guy REFUSED to come to our house because we lived on a partly unpaved road. Half paved, half unpaved. He's driving the COMPANY'S TRUCK, not his own car. So he STANDS US UP, never calls, and doesn't tell the branch manager either. Just like the first guy. This second guy, JAMES, is a patsy because "he bottomed out and it scared him". OMG. WE've driven this road for 25 years and never had an accident! The first guy lied to his manager and told him that WE had a problem with him. His name is TODD. Now the branch manager, whom I've been trying to get in touch with, but all of a sudden is not available; tells me he's got a friend at a different company and he'll pay for 3 service calls for us to use this other company. Okay, we say...send them. Well, this other company, ALOHA PEST CONTROL in KAILUA-KONA, BIG ISLAND, stands us up too. The office calls the next day to say the guys got "lost". Why they didn't call US is a wonder? SO, they never call back, and we never find out why they didn't come and service us!! I call JED HORN, THE ORKIN BRANCH MANAGER AND TELL HIM WE NEED SERVICE!! YOUR FRIEND NEVER CAME AND WE NEED HELP. Also, we paid for 6 mos of service and only got one official spray. He promises to refund our money but he doesn't even do that! So we're out money and IN with the roaches. SO, now 5 weeks later and the roaches are GROWING BIG PLUS multiplying by the hundreds, and I can't stand it. I can't go in the kitchen, it's freaking me out. SO, DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR. DO NOT TRUST JED HORN AT ORKIN AND ANYONE FROM ALOHA PEST CONTROL. THIS LEAVES US WITH ONLY ONE OTHER COMPANY TO TRY, WHICH IS TERMINEX. WE HAD TERMINEX AND did not use them again specifically because THEY ARE CHINTZY ON THE BUG SPRAY AND WE ALWAYS KNEW THAT AND THEY ALWAYS DENIED IT. I DON'T KNOW OF ANY GOOD PEST CONTROL IN KAILUA-KONA. If anyone out there has access to the professional bug spray that we can buy PLEASE LET US KNOW! OR, if you know of a company that is not a goof-off PLEASE DO let us know that too. Thank You. Oh, we're in Honaunau, and no one likes to drive 20 miles south of kailua-kona. We are not ogres, no dogs, and there is no good reason why a company cannot come over and do this service. We are desperate for any help anyone out there might have. Thank you! read more

We hired Orkin to help rid our home of water ants. We initially paid $145.00 for first visit and expected treatment to work. It was less then ten minutes of agents time to apply liquid bait to ledges in kitchen. It did not work and we called agent who returned, and once again, it did not work. Third times a charm. I hope Orkin Co. knows what they have with a pro like Mario, at the job 25 years. We were 100% prepared to get the termite extermination package, whatever the price. Mario inspected the house, garage, basement, around the house and inside the attic to deliver the good news...we didn't need to treat the house at this time, and to check back in 4-5 years. We were a $NO SALE$ for Orkin (+ a free inspection) and yet Mario stayed around to answer tons of questions about terminate behavior, bug damage and insect trends, plus a couple anecdotes thrown in.
