As a result, I was improperly charged. Despite multiple requests over the past two months, I have not received a refund. I have repeatedly followed up and have been told the issue is being handled with my insurance, yet no resolution has been provided. Additionally, I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and informed that my insurance provider would contact me regarding a sleep therapy device. However, given the errors in my insurance information, it is unlikely that any outreach was properly initiated. Funny enough, no one contacted me at all during this time about it. I highly do not recommend this practice - they do not care about their patients.

Lots of people waiting - but don't be discouraged if you are on time for your appointment... checking in and then being called back is quick! Nervous having never been to an ENT specialist I was a little perplexed and did not know what to expect. The "support", "assistant" went over what they would do after asking a few questions once you were in the exam room. I came in due to a slight sore throat and cold congestion/ sinus issues. They explained they would administer lidocaine and Afrin into my nostrils to prepare me for the nasal endoscopy. Everything went smooth! They tell you what to expect and how you'll feel (I appreciate this so much). Then Dr. Sorensen came in and introduced himself, asked what I was in for. He did a quick nasal endoscopy (when I say quick- less than 60 seconds in each nostril. He has wonderful bedside manners.. gave me my diagnosis which I assumed already, how we can treat and I went on my way. Wonderful practice! Highly recommend! I went back for a follow up visit and I was nice and clear. They do have to do another nasal endoscopy- I knew what to expect so second time was a breeze.

The problem is that I never received a single statement. When I called to inquire, I learned they had the wrong mailing address on file. Despite having my correct phone number and email address, they never attempted to contact me through either method before threatening collections. What was even more frustrating was being told that the collections review process did not care that they had the wrong address. Shortly after the call, they sent an email attachment that I could not open, which was not helpful at all. There are plenty of ENT practices in the area. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

He is retiring. He is recommending his patients to Dr. Liao. Today, I was examined by Dr. Liao. He was examining my sinuses and my ears. He is a very professional and exceptional in his field. He was able to give me a thorough diagnosis of my condition. He also made some excellent recommendations for treatments aside from surgery. He was friendly and helpful. I met Dr. Kwon in the foyer of my condo complex and found out that we had the same last names and that he was a general practitioner. Looking for a doctor, I quickly made an appointment and jetted off to Silver Spring. Dr. Kwon's office was clean and quaint - lots of little old Korean ladies who hadn't quite caught on to the English craze here in America - but hey, it's a niche market and you have to cater to the customer if you're going to survive. Very friendly, gets back to you quickly, and doesn't talk down to you when you ask a question. I have kept him on (even though I've been using the VA medical center lately too) as my doc and will continue to go to him in the future.

After spending most of my visit talking about his own personal life and telling me that I looked to be in great shape (weird), he told me that I probably had no cause for concern (despite my discomfort and issues I was having with my body health) and just told me to go get blood and urine work done. I listened and did just that. The results came back pretty clean so I thought there was no cause for concern. 3 weeks later, my symptoms worsened so I called him on a Saturday to ask if there was any medicine I could take or if he could possibly prescribe me antibiotics to help me with an infection. He was very curt, blunt and rude over the phone telling me that I wasn't listening to him and if I wanted his opinion to just take it. He told me to go to urgent care so they could tell me what was wrong. Oh not to mention that he made sarcastic/snide remarks about asking me if I had multiple sexual partners without any sensitivity toward my situation. He was more interested in sounding sarcastic and lackadaisical than concerned. I wonder if he treats all his patients and even his own kids this way. If a Primary Care Physician can't even prescribe antibiotics, ever tell me what's wrong with my body and will lack any and all empathy when addressing me health concerns, what good is he? Seems like Dr. Gupta would be better suited to just being a guidance counselor since all he's interested in is discussing what he did over the weekend instead of offering any helpful medical advice or solutions. Not sure if he's past his prime, but these days, Dr. Gupta, you need some empathy and patience when speaking with folks. It's called being kind. If you're going to be rude because I "need to listen what I'm telling you to do and just take my opinion you called me for" when I'm clearly concerned and in pain, then you clearly have other issues. Never going back to this "doctor". Read the other poor reviews he has. It checks out. Seems like it's time for him to check out and hit the retirement stride.

He's an ok doctor, if you're not a black person. A few times he's ignored the symptoms of why I've…read moregone to see him. I had a weird skin grown on my hand and his recommendation was to use more lotion. WTF?! I need medication for ADHD. none of the other formulations have worked for me in the past, so for a whole I gave up. I recently went back and requested the same exact medication that my kids use. It works well for them. He wanted to start me off at a very low dose. I informed him that dosage was even lower than what my daughter uses, and she weighs less than a third of what I weigh. I may not be a doctor, but I do know simple, chemistry, body weight matters in regards to chemicals and medication. He refused and started me at 15 mg. My very small daughter takes 20. I don't blame him for this next part. The insurance company refused to pay for it without prior authorization, despite them having been paying for this stud for my kids for the last few years. But I do blame him for not wanting to do the prior authorization. It's a simply bloody fax. When I went back this week for my 30 day follow up, I requested to have 30 mg. He tells me it's going to require prior authorization again because he's changing the dosage and if they ask for prior authorization again, he can't do it because he doesn't have the manpower. It takes too much effort. His exact damn words. I said to him, I told you this would be a problem. I told you I wanted to start at 30 to begin with. He snapped at me and tells me if I raise my voice at him he's going to kick me out. Mind you, I wasn't yelling. But of course, a black person being upset is like yelling at a non-black person. We are always perceived as a threat. Time to find a new doctor.
