Why? because on THREE separate occasions the owner has treated me quite badly. 1- one time when I was shopping, I needed to use the ladies room. When I asked if I could use it (after seeing other customers go in and out) the owner said that customers are not permitted to use it. 2. This time the owner was at the register (a rare moment in my experience) he verbally abused me for the fact that I pulled an old receipt out of my purse and crumbled it up - and then I put it back in my purse - so no, I was not littering. 3. As I approached the door to enter the store and was struggling to open it due to a badly broken arm and back injury, the owner cut in front of me and slammed the door onto me. That was the last time for me. I am honestly surprised that they are still in business because I have met countless women who have also stopped whopping there after being treated badly by the owner. There are a myriad of other shopping venues that carry the herbs and other medicines and personal care products that I buy.

Occasionally, I visit this store and have felt that the way this store operates is not…read morecustomer-friendly or appreciated. Each visit it feels more like being watch than assisting with my purchase. Today I decided to express my concern with someone identifying himself as Greg (owner) after I ask his name since the employee had given my name as an introduction. As I attempted to explain to him why I was dissatisfied with the customer service he became enraged and started yelling at me in order to make a scene and I ask him to lower his voice because this was a private conversation. He was angry because I didn't respond to him when he offer to assist me but it felt like when he appeared it was to pretend he was checking something on the shelf but it felt more like he was there to watch us so I didn't respond. When I tried to explain my reasoning he made a scene and I was in disbelief of the unprofessionalism and he didn't care about not supporting his store. Well it work communication is everything and when you have ignorant owners you lose one customer at a time until the doors closed permanently. You can Order the same products on line for lesser cost and save on gasoline. I Do not recommend this store because the owner is a very nasty arrogant man and the items are overpriced.

All of the herbs I purchased were far from okay but the worst is the rose petals that are crawling with bugs as you can see from the holes in the picture and if you look close enough you can see the little bugs!! The chamomile flowers are absolutely disgusting as well as you can see by the gross, old, dead color!! I will never order from them again and will tell all my herbalist friends to stay clear!!

Penn Herb Company - Mixed Feelings, Honest Take…read more I was really looking forward to checking out Penn Herb Company, especially thinking it might offer more variety than what I've seen at Reading Terminal. And to be fair, they did have some cool options, a few new brands, and unique finds I hadn't come across before. Definitely a good spot if you're into wellness and herbal products it helped to take some time and read up on a few things. When we first walked in, the vibe seemed friendly and calm. My family and I (just the three of us) were really just browsing, not touching everything, and stayed together. But the energy shifted a bit. Only one older staff member acknowledged us--but she also seemed to be following us. We'd change aisles, and she'd change aisles too. At one point I asked, "Are you following us? If so, can you help me find the chlorophyll?" She did show us, but the experience rubbed me the wrong way. The price wasn't clearly marked as member-only, which I only realized later. Then, after she left, another staff member appeared in the same area--which made me feel profiled. Not a great feeling. At checkout, I gave my number to sign up for the membership, thinking I'd get the discount but I never received it, and no one explained why. Left feeling confused and a bit disappointed. This was just my personal experience, and maybe others have had better luck. But as someone who values both wellness and respectful service, this visit left me feeling a little let down.

It's SO hard to find foods that fit perfectly into my calorie budget, let alone something that looks filling and delicious and guilt-free! I decided to stop by and get a shake and a tea. The shake was super thick and very filling! I saw a comment below say they were watery, but out of the 3 times I've been there, I wouldn't say that's been my experience - especially since I'm picky with protein shakes and make them with almond milk at home. The teas are also a bit tart but delicious and HUGE! I am very bad at drinking water throughout the day, but this encourages me to stay hydrated, plus helps provide little boosts of energy due to the caffeine to keep me a little more awake throughout the day. My only complaint is that it's a bit pricey, but that won't stop me from coming back for a breakfast treat at least once or twice a month!
