The company charged me 495.99 to resolve my issue with water flowing over their gutter covers. 3 workers cleared off debris (leaves and pine needles) collected in corners. Total time was 20 minutes per worker. One hour if you add their times. A few days followed, and I received a call asking if I was satisfied with the work. I stated that I felt the charge was excessive for the effort involved. They agreed that the estimate was excessive, and she would bring it up at the next meeting. We hired them to reseal the gutter corners of our one-story house. A crew of two guys came out - the one who came to the door was not wearing a mask (I did not see the other). Based on the estimate, we assumed the job would involve quite a bit of work, but they were gone in under an hour. It equated to billing out at roughly $450.00/hour (forget about med school, kids -- sealing gutters is where the money's at). The team finished so fast, we called the office to request a supervisor come inspect the work, to ensure it was done properly. Oregon Gutter Service requires you to put down a 50% deposit to schedule the work, even for jobs that don't require much in terms of materials. They ask you to pre-authorize payment of the balance upon completion of the job - something we don't remember being asked for or authorizing but they say they did. Either way, they should have held the payment until we'd had a chance to finish our inquiry ... but they did not, they charged our card later that day. Over the next few days we spoke with several employees. To their credit all were courteous, and calls were returned promptly. The estimator came out per our request and photographed each corner to document the work that'd been performed. The quality of the work was acceptable. So in the end it was a case of caveat emptor. We should have made sure we fully understood the scope of work before accepting the bid, to ensure we were comfortable with the cost. We should have questioned them closely about their payment terms and their COVID policies. This was an instance of our poor judgement - if we don't like the company's policies, we should choose not to do business with them. Pros - They did a reasonable job. - They did it within the time window promised when the job was scheduled. - They returned calls promptly and were polite. - They sent someone to inspect the work and provided photographic documentation upon request. Cons - Workers don't wear masks. We've since learned that the company has no policy re: wearing masks to ensure customer safety. - They require a 50% deposit before they'll schedule the work, even for jobs that have minimal materials costs. - They request the right to charge the balance to your card the moment the work is complete (i.e., pre-authorization, no opportunity to inspect the work). Even though we called promptly to request an inspection of the work, they charged the balance to our credit card immediately. - The rates seem quite high for the nature of the work performed. read more

Estimate was accepted to replace 2 sections of gutter that were damaged by a tree. The 2 downspouts were completely damage free so it was determined that replacing them wasn't necessary. I accepted the estimate to have the gutters replaced and existing downspouts reused for $580. The gutters were replaced but the installers destroyed my downspouts. There was a 1 inch gap in the seems after installation and their solution was to fill the 1 inch gap with silicone. Their office called me the next day to ask if I was satisfied with their work. I told them that I was not satisfied because of the damaged downspouts and they refused to take responsibility. Waited 3 weeks to get a small gutter job done (2 20ft sections) and on the day of the install they called and said the foreman got hurt. They told me it would be re scheduled and a week later they still could not give me a new date for installation. Unacceptable, demanded my money back. Going with another company. This is my first ever review of a business. I am doing so because I am so unhappy with their service and follow up issues that I have to let others know. The recent snowfall in our area pulled down all of our gutters so we needed the whole house done. The first installation was so poorly done putting them much lower than previous gutters leaving holes in wood completely exposed and the flashing was BEHIND the gutters so rain poured down behind them. The corners were not sealed so when rain actually went into the gutters it leaked. When I finally got someone to fix them they were quite rude and did not think it was too bad of a job. Eventually they came around and admitted it was a horrible job. The redid them but this time they actual cracked one of them so it was pouring out the crack right above our front porch. They also damaged many of the 2x4's, splitting them where it is now bare wood. Still have leaks on corners. I have spoken with their call service at least 7 times. Today, over a month since install they said their computer system changed and somehow I got dropped so was not on the warranty schedule to be fixed. Please don't waste your time with them! They might be less expensive but I see why. If they were the only company to choose from I would do them myself or go without! Yes, that bad! read more

Appt was scheduled for 2nd week of October. We paid $810 down payment for the scheduled service. One person came out to start the job of cleaning and sealing the gutters. What I appreciated was this young mans frankness in not being able to get the job done due to flashing issues from the roof line. The issue that I had was the after math of leaving SEVERAL messages asking for a refund of the down payment because services were not rendered. The owner FINALLY called me after 3 weeks to see if he could go out and take a look at the gutters and possibly give us a bid to redo them. I have yet to hear back from him after a week and a half AND STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY REFUND. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE LACK OF TIMELYNESS AND PROFESSIONALISM. Hence the 1 star rating read more

First of all when the workers showed up, at least one of them was smoking. Which felt disrespectful to me as the homeowner. The gutter work seems to be working so far, other than the downspouts are not quite where I feel they should be. (We had to place splash guards so they wouldn't flood my flower beds) once the workers had left I noticed muddy foot prints all over my brand new deck. They used my hose to clean off their ladders, so they could have easily hosed off the mud they left. It is so bad that simply hosing it off is not working I'm going to have to scrub it off, to get it back to what it looked like prior to their work. I also found a couple of sharp pieces of metal left behind on the ground. No big deal accept I have small children and if they would have found them they could have been hurt. I called to speak with a supervisor, I was told someone would call me back. I asked them not to charge the other half of the work to my card until I could speak with someone, and they agreed that was reasonable. No one called me. Then my card was charged. I called to speak with someone again and they said their managers were out.I told them someone better call me back soon, as I'm getting very irritated. Still no call. NOT HAPPY. read more

Awful. Hire a homeless person instead, someone more reliable. We had a simple job, a straight run with a downspout. When we first called, OGS seemed professional with online estimates to us right away. They required 50% down before scheduling, then couldn't schedule anything until two weeks out. Then they called the day before they were scheduled, said they couldn't make it, and they'd call to reschedule the following week. No call the following week, no return call when we left voice mails Friday. When we did manage to reach a real person the following week, they said it would be another couple of weeks. Again, no show on the day scheduled. They called late that night and said they'd call again first thing in the morning with "more information." Again, no call first thing, but towards noon the guys who do the work called and said they'd be here in 15 minutes (more like half an hour). Our job took them less than half an hour - finally, 6 weeks after we started all this and well into the rainy season. At least the new gutter isn't leaking (yet?). Of course they sent an email that afternoon demanding to be paid right away, with follow-up texts every week since. You could do worse, but we'll never do business with this outfit again. read more

Do not believe for 1 second their life time warranty is worth the paper its written on. We bought into the no clog gutter claim and spent a great deal of money on a new gutter system. They have been problematic since day 1. OG applied some make shift fixes which only serve to create a place for leaves to collect thus defeating the purpose. In addition the collector gutter was undersized at two locations resulting in water over flowing in heavy rains. OG has been out 3 or 4 times over the last 12 months and will not follow up on repeated request to remedy the situation and in fact will claim there is no record of them having even visited my home and wanting to treat this as a new installation. The warranty seems to be only good if your interested in buying new gutters to replace the ones they previously sold you. read more

Had a $3200 gutter installation to replace old gutters. After the crew finished they left mud on the side of the house in multiple places, emptied the mud from the old gutters in the street in front of our house, broke 2 shingles on the side of the house and didn't tell us and overcharged us requiring a call to get a refund. I talked to the owner about the situation. He said he would talk to the crew but didn't offer to do anything else, including fix the broken shingles. read more
