To be completely clear: my stylist did not consult with me even once about what I wanted my hair to look like. This includes tone - my hair is not even the correct color. The only person I spoke to about my hair goals was the assistant, not the stylist. At one point, I even had to ask the assistant whether I would be getting a root smudge (I've been getting my hair done for 15 years and am familiar with what is typically involved in my services), because again, the stylist did not communicate with me at all about my preferences. The stylist blow-dried a single section of my hair and then did not return. After that first section, the next and last time I saw her was as I was walking out of the salon, while she was actively blow-drying another client's hair. Because of this, there is no possible way she could have done a "final check," assessed breakage, or evaluated the overall condition of my hair as suggested in the response. While the stylist did eventually call to apologize (which is the bare minimum), I did not hear from the salon itself. If they truly cared about hearing/fixing my experience, I would have heard directly from them. I will not be returning to this salon or this stylist. Why would I return to a place where I felt disrespected, rushed, unheard, and where my hair was damaged? I also want to clarify that I have no issue with a stylist working alongside an assistant. In fact, I mentioned in my original review that the assistant was very sweet. My issue is with a stylist who does not communicate with me at all, is dismissive and rude, and is so overbooked that she is barely present for the service I was paying for. I did not include this originally, but the stylist was also extremely rude to the assistant, so much so that I considered stepping in because of how poorly she was speaking to her. Overall, the fact that the owner chose to respond with inaccuracies instead of genuinely addressing the issues raised is very reflective of this business.

This girl was so knowledgable about the different types of extensions, pros/cons, different brands, and lead me to my choice of Bellami hot fusions 18 inches over Great Lengths, which are much more expensive, but she raved about the quality. At the time I saw her, I had bright red hair, and was thinking of going back to my natural color, brown, for the extensions. To try and save me money and since I've been dying my hair myself, she told me exactly what I needed to buy at Sally to go back to brown. Unfortunately, the girl at Sally got involved and told me that wasn't going to work and gave me another product, which I ran by Bahar but did not tell her the exact color. My hair turned near black. I was so upset. I was texting Bahar and she told me to come in the next day. She spent 3 hours trying to fix it and lighten it. The end result was still one I was shocked by but she insisted it would lighten up and that it matched my roots. We color matched and picked the extensions, but she wanted to wait to order them to make sure I was OK with the color. Over the next week, I went back and forth about every 10 minutes about dying it back to red and getting red extensions. She answered my endless questions about them and what that would be like. I will admit - I am not an easy client! I did not make this simple and easy on her. But she was so patient and answered all my questions, helping me make the right decision for me. The extensions did not come in time for our scheduled appointment (they were ombred, which take longer), and she was going out of town for vacation, so I had to wait a week. Her professionalism and expertise did not end after the appointment. I texted her with questions on blending the extensions on my own during styling and she replied with some suggestions. Uyen added extensions and created a gorgeous bronde color. Over the years we've tried different looks, from very blonde to closer to my natural dark blonde, and I loved it every time! What impressed me the most is how healthy my hair stayed the entire time. After wearing extensions for over two years, I took them out for a while and my natural hair actually looked about 30% thicker than before (The thickest it has ever been). I just got a new set of extensions again and absolutely love them. I went from short hair to almost waist length, and this time we did wavy extensions to match my natural texture.
