Pretty nice course, front 9 is more challenging than back 9. The staff is run by old men, some of whom love to talk and not shut up. One guy actually was a jerk to me and said I was the problem with my golf swing and I should get a new golfer. Classic old man trying to be funny. Beer cart girl was around 4 times during 18 which was real solid. Def over priced for the condition of the course. Can definitely score at this course read more

Simple but well executed menu with great service. We had the Alaskan pollack fish fry last night. We had salad and fries as our sides. Definitely would return. First let me say the golf course was very good and the green fees are very reasonable. Six couples are in from Houston for vacation and we booked two rounds for twelve people well in advance. The marshal drove up on us 3 times and was telling us we were playing too slow. All three of our foursomes played in a hair over 4 hours. I discussed the issue with the pro shop and they couldn't have cared less. Poor customer service ruined a fun golf day. We cancelled our second round here are not going back. read more

The Orchards is a really nice course. It's in great shape and is really fun to play. There are many tee boxes so whatever your skill level, you can have fun here. The clubhouse is also top notch. There is a restaurant with plenty of seating at the bar or tables. I had a burger before my round and it was excellent. I can't wait to play here again. read more

wonderful golf course. well-maintained greens and course. At the end of the day we had a fantastic fish fry.

Great experience! We went in for the fish fry on Friday night. Started with the cheese curds - great start! Half of us had the fish fry and the others had the lake perch. Everything was delicious!! The service was very attentive and they were quick and available to bring more fish. Cole slaw was really good. French fries were unique and tasty. Potato salad was above average. The only recommendation I have is to dim the lights a bit for a warmer ambience. Either way, we will be back!! read more

Start off by saying it is a little more money then the other courses in Door County. But with the saying you get what you pay for. You are defiantly getting the nicest course. I would spend the extra money and play here. You get better golfers which is better for your play time. Nothing is more irritating then waiting to hit your next shot. Now about the course, the front nine is nice but is on the flatter side. If you are only going to play nine ask to play the back! It is very nice and challenging! I placed early morning tee times as soon as they opened so I could play the back for nine. The greens are average on speed but maintained well. The fairways are amazing, no burned out grass! There is a ruff and also native grass. All good holes as there is nothing that is goofy. Well designed and newer golf course. It is very impressive to see a course that has a good watering system and can keep up with the fairways. All in all, awesome course. Would be the first course I would play and will defiantly return. Cannot speak for the food though at the clubhouse but being in Door County, I would not be eating at a golf course since there are some amazing places to eat! read more

Went here for fish fry and it was good. Had a server that stared out good and fell apart when she got bombarded by all the regulars!!! Seriously wish I could have saved her! We waited at least 10 minutes to get the bill.................... we could have left and she never would have known!! We live in Door County now and always try to give the servers (very seasonal at best) the benefit of the doubt!!! read more

Decided to try to get 18 in before the rain comes on a Sunday afternoon. Rates after 12:30 go to $50 with cart(doesn't say plus tax, but is). Walk into empty pro shop in fine golf attire with a kid and older gentlemen by the counter, No "hello" from them, so I bellow one out," how's it going, how's your summer", get a couple 1 word answers. Look at radar and the rains coming, so decide to just pay for 9 and see what happens(cost $80 for 2, guess that's why we just don't JUST PLAY 9, Mr.USGA!) Guy taking the $$$ volunteers that rainchecks can be used anywhere on course. See starter before first tee and he says its all ours, doesn't ask to look at receipt. Get through 5 holes and the rain starts, theres a walking 5-some ahead of us waiting it out and no rain hood on the carts, so we quit and I go in for a raincheck. Get in there and show the guy my card and say raincheck please. Guy looks at me like I'm from another Planet.."ahh, you got a receipt?", sure I shoot back, if you want me to walk to my car in a downpour? "Sir, I was just in here an hour ago"(3-2-somes went off after us)...heres the card with 5 holes marked.....FINALLY get it, WOW. 3 years ago I was here after booking a tee-time on-line and getting an e-mail confirmation, when walked in to check in, they didn't have me down for any t-time and the guy looked at me like , 'what, you really want me to get you out'(well I have driven 80 miles).....Play it once a year because not much up in Door Co for golf......just wonder what kind of experience it will be the next time! read more
