Run, don't walk, to book him for a session. Not only did he go out of his way to change his own schedule to make our timeframe work, he did it with minimal notice and was an absolute pleasure to communicate with as we figured out the details. He is a true artist, as evidenced by the breathtaking images he captured for us. He has such an eye for catching those special moments; just looking at the pictures allows me to relive every bit of the emotion behind them. And incredibly quick turnaround time- we got our sample shots just days after the ceremony! Robert is so knowledgeable about the best locations and was so generous in giving us his time to take us to a number of incredible spots. Case in point, even as we dropped him off at the water taxi he had a few minutes to spare and offered to take more shots there! Overall, a phenomenal experience and highly recommend working with him if you get the chance. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Robert!!!

We went to the lavender farm on the island and a few minutes later, he proposed in the lavender field! I didn't know it at the time, but Steve was a few rows over photographing us! After the proposal (and I found out what was happening) my fiancé and I got to take engagement photos for the remainder of our time there. Steve was so easy to work with and despite me being in shock over just having gotten engaged, I felt comfortable around him. My fiancé says he was easy to plan with and I'm so happy Steve was able to be part of our day. The photos were amazing!!! Thank you, Steve!

Sarah Postma rocks!…read more She did an amazing job capturing our proposal. Had K not pointed her out after popping the question, I never would have known she was there taking pics of us! In fact, when he pointed to her, my immediate instinct was to think that she was one of our friends because she waved and looked so friendly. Not only was Sarah kind and responsive throughout the communication process of setting things up for the big surprise, but another plus was the option to pay via credit card online. We are extremely pleased with the output of her work! Creative angles, perfectly timed snapshots of our expressions, and overall, flawless execution! I really appreciate the logistics of it all too. She had to arrive with plenty of time, keep an eye out for us, and really work under pressure! A USB of both color and black and white photos was mailed to us with a personalized handwritten card within 2 weeks, and oh! The preview of a few key photos emailed that very night was an awesome perk! The only part we're bummed out about is that she wasn't available for our wedding day!

The photos pop with superb lighting, excellent backdrops, and the subjects' personalities. Sarah took our engagement and wedding photos. We were impressed during our first meeting with her by her portfolio and genuine kindness. Our engagement shoot was fun. Sarah directed us and always kept an upbeat, positive attitude that really set the tone for the evening. The day of the wedding, Sarah and her assistant Beckie came early to take "getting ready" photos of both parties. Then, we headed to a nearby park to take wedding party photos. Sarah and Beckie continued to keep the energy light and happy throughout the 2 hour shoot before the wedding. The wedding ceremony, reception, family and dance photos are exceptional. Sarah and Beckie captured hundreds of memories, laughs, and moments of joy. They meshed well with the wedding party and felt more like guests than hired photographers. I can't stress enough how wonderful Sarah made the whole experience feel. My husband and I have looked through the library of photos dozens of times and still find hidden gems. Sarah truly has a passion for her work and was dedicated in her effort to preserve this important event. Thank you, Sarah, for all you have done and we hope to run into you in Bellingham!

The breathing and meditation exercises we did before the photoshoot helped me to feel comfortable in front of a camera. Sterling helped me to feel comfortable in my own skin - which to me is priceless. As a light-skinned Pacific Islander, I often felt uncomfortable with my appearance... until I moved to the continental us for college. But even then while I felt adequately assimilated, my soul felt split. This experience has helped me to love myself wholly and fully, marrying my two selves that I had kept separate for too long. Never would I have thought that a photoshoot would allow me that. Sterling's talents are very special and unique. I am forever grateful that our paths crossed. To anyone thinking about an embodiment photoshoot, I say go for it. And if an embodiment photoshoot doesn't really sound like your thing, still consider it :) I thought the same, but I'm really glad that I did it. I've always wanted to be able to capture the moon's beauty as seen through my eyes... not easy. But Sterling seems to do just that in her photography. Capturing the pure beauty and magic of another!
