Staying here during peak winter break travel because it's an affordable alternative to Disney properties. It's an older establishment that is well maintained. It's clean and everything works fine. It was also very affordable for a timeshare in the area, many others are very expensive to rent like a hotel around the Disney maingate area. I can't say enough about how clean and welcoming this place was. My family of two adults and two kids booked a week here last week through hotels.com. This was our first real trip since the pandemic started and we were spending the week visiting the theme parks. The room is HUGE. Apartment style with a full kitchen (oven, stove, dishwasher, full fridge, even blender and toaster) dining room, and living room setup. Two bedrooms, one with two twin beds and one with a king. Two bathrooms, one standard, and one with a huge soaking tub (which the kids "swam" in on a rainy day). Washer and dryer in the unit as well. The patio is also covered in mesh which keeps it clean and nice to open up the large doors and let the air in. The cleanliness is what impressed me the most. I felt 100% safe as soon as I entered as the place was spotless. All the utensils and dishes were freshly cleaned and no dust was in sight as if they cleaned right before we arrived. Even the remotes controls were cleaned as they were sealed in plastic. Floors are a nice heavy duty tile vs carpet which also helped with feeling clean in the unit. My kids had fun in the heated pool with the water slides and the hot tub. There's another pool and even a playground but we didn't get a chance to use them on our trip. This resort does promote the place as a timeshare and they did reach out via phone to offer us gifts and free stays at their partnered resorts if you sit through a timeshare presentation, but it was easy enough to say no, thank you and move along with our day. I don't see the harm in this as it is a great place and they didn't push the topic any further after I said we weren't interested. I think if my kids were a little older and could entertain themselves, I probably would have taken them up on the presentation and free stays. All in, the price for this place including resort fees was comparable to a single standard room (without kitchen) at a "name brand" hotel so I was thankful we tried this spot and have already recommended others to check it out who are planning to spend spring break in the area. read more

I loved everything about our stay. Our room was located on the Venus building on the 3rd floor which I highly recommend because only the third floor has sky windows and it was really nice to go to sleep looking directly at the moon and stars. This is an older property owned by Diamond Resorts. The two bedroom unit has tandem washer/dryer, granite countertops in the kitchen and two bathrooms the perfect size for a family visiting Magic Kingdom. There is no security gate so people can come and go as they please. The pool area has two water slides which the kids love. This is apartment-style condos which follows the trend of vacation club companies adding to their portfolio and turning apartment complexes into timeshare units. Be warned: there are wasps and bees on premises. Family was killing bees inside the unit and wasp nests on the outside balcony (but luckily on the other side of the screen walls). This property again is an older property and is not a 5 star property by any means. Don't expect Marriott quality amenities, but if you want to get away from the touristy resorts, give this resort a shot! read more

Where do I even start? This is my second stay at this hotel. The first time, our power went out and all our food in the fridge got spoiled. They said they would give us two free nights, they never did and every time I call, they give me some bullshit run around & say they'll send a voucher in the mail. They never did. I stayed a second time because i wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. This time, our water went out for almost two hours. I could not shower after walking the park & I could not shower my 1 yr old and 2 yr old. Getting home at 7pm and not being able to shower till after 9;30pm after being at a park since 9am is an inconvenience no one should go through. On top of that, there were several roaches in our apartment. The apartments have washer & dryers inside but they didn't work. The WiFi doesn't even work, I don't know what's the point of saying they have it , it doesn't connect. Customer service doesn't give a crap about what went wrong or how they inconvenience you. Ashley made it seem like there was nothing she could do but refund us $40 for our resort fees. This isn't a resort I pay $50 or $75 a night for. This is not the quality or service we deserve for what we paid. It's a shame, because the apartments are spacious and really Centrally located. There's lots of restaurants and shops in the area. The parks are 5 min away and the pools are awesome. They have slides and sections for kids. Parking is free. The balconies are screened. These are probably the only good things about this place. read more

As our normal RCI property vacation villages was unavailable we' thought we would give this place a try , bad move the rooms are ok but here is the kicker $13 a day resort fee $30 a week vacation villages , for what the internet is problematic works when it wants to , no Repeat transport to the parks unlike vacation villages the clientele are to say ropey is an understatement and so far 3 days on the row the most laziest noisiest gardeners possible . So if you first choice is unavailable don't come here the $13 a day is a complete head scratcher , wait till your first choice is available. read more

Took a 4 year old and 1 year old to their first trip to Disney and even though we live 2.5 - 3 hours away up in the Jacksonville Area, we decided to get the hotel so we could stay so the kids could see the fireworks. Room information: Room Price: $75.00/night Number of rooms: 1 Room Number of nights: 1 Night Room Subtotal: $75.00 Hotel Fee1: $9.04 Taxes & Fees: $17.97 Total Charged Today: $92.97 Total Cost: $102.01 As you can see, price was just right for offseason Disney Trip. Was supposed to be a condo style room so we could shut the kids in a different room from us. Fast Forward, we go to Disney, have a great day, and get to the hotel shortly after 10PM to check in. I enter the lobby and I'm greeted by Front Office Manager Jacqueline whom informs me that the room is no longer available to me. I'm told that the reason the room was no longer available was because they had an "unplanned loss" of two of their suites this day due to the damages that were done by Hurricane Irma (Which conveniently enough they are finding 1 week later.) Also conveniently enough no efforts were made to contact me by either them or Priceline to say, "Hey Man, your hotel room is a bust" which would just mean (being 2.5-3 Hours away from home) I would just leave Disney earlier than originally intended. Wanting to make good on it, Jacqueline offers to set us up in one of the sister hotels in the family over at .Caribe Royale Orlando, where they would refund us what we would have paid at their hotel. Well Caribe Royale's Opening price for less room was $109, a quick perusal of priceline and other travel websites says this would only be a base price as there would be more hidden fees associated on top of this. The following is strictly a number of hypotheses of what may have happened in this current situation. 1) The Bait and Switch - Here's something too good to be true to get you in the door, lets take advantage of some poor sucker taking his family to Disney. ::insert sarcastic voice:: "Oh no we're sorry we can't let you stay here for something we should have discovered one week ago where our area was blasted by a CAT 4 Hurricane." Here's all the information for one of our sister hotels all neat and in a bow for you Mr. Tuna 2) Welp, its 6 o'clock and this joker hasn't shown up but I have random Joe and his family in the door and they want a room... what does this reservation word mean again? Our stay here was very last minute and when we approached we were really unsure of what to expect. 5 star rating across the boards!! Such a friendly helpful staff, events going on all day, long water area hours and separated kids area. We couldnt of asked for a better stay. Rooms were subpar spacious, clean and fully stocked with anything that you could want or need. Only suggestion is with such a large master tub by the time it fills up the water temp is chilly. Already planning our next stay here and telling all our family and friends "this is the place to be!" Where can I start. We moved into our 2nd story villa, for the first three nights whoever was staying above us sounded like they had cinderblocks on their feet. Not to mention the construction in the morning below us. We finally had them move us to a third story room in a separate building. We were warned about the skylight in the bedroom (why?) but we also found ants all around the villa. I wanted to like this place, the sweet girl at the check in when we first got there was great. But it was just one thing after the other (a total of 9 days). On our final night we got home late from the parks to find that our keys didn't work so we had to go back up to the front desk. I am a spring breaker, Room was great, lots of space and with a nice screened in porch view. However my reason for a two star rating is simple. The walls are too thin, if you're trying to get sleep and either on the first or second floor, goodluck. you could hear your neighbors kids footsteps when they run around at 7am every morning along with hearing them open and close every drawer, every conversation & just about every noise. If you pack a lot of stuff have fun carrying it up the stairs because they do not have elevators for you to carry your stuff. Parking is also very limited. I came during spring break and orbit one decides to do "construction" on their second pool leaving it only to one pool open during the busiest two weeks orbit one will get all year, great job. limited seats at the pool, dealing with annoying little kids, and not having peace and quiets is a guarantee here at orbit one. The only reason they get a rating is for the short walks and drives to places. Also, there is not much to do here, just a pool and a few outside games is the only fun you can have here. Probably will never stay here again, instead i will stay at the other 10 resorts that are better here near orlando. This was probably one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in Orlando. Less than 10 minutes from Disney. Barbara at the front desk was very nice. Rooms were very clean and spacious. If you are a smoker, you can smoke on the screened in balcony/patio. They had just finished renovating due to Hurricane Irma, so everything look new. I would definitely stay here again. We were greeted by Geordane, a pleasant young man. We had requested ground floor BY PHONE yesterday but the young lady FAILED to assign us one today. Geordane patiently looked for one for us and found a perfect location. My hubby is a disabled Vetetan and cannot do steps. Tut he suite is HUGE. And nice decorated. We have time share in NC with Diamond Resorts so we know what to expect. The suite is clean, nicely decorated and well laid out. We look forward to the next 3 or more nights here while we wait out Dorians arrival. We live in Southeast Florida in Port St Lucie so this was our solution to getting away from the coast and storm. read more

Haven't stayed yet at this hotel. So I hope my stars and opinion gets better. I have booked as a "no refund" room. I researched for so long for a phone number that will actually ring so I could ask some questions. The price was right.... for my 2 small kids and my husband and I we all have a place to sleep in the room, kitchen (which includes pots pans silverware), living room and private bathroom. $414 for four nights. Others were so expensive for the space. Saw a $9 resort fee and seemed like when you saw that it they had the shuttles for Disney universal etc... not this one. But I didn't get that answer until I stayed on hold for 10mins to get to the company that owns orbit one villa which is called diamond resort. I called them at 1 (800) 438-2929 then they gave me the Kissimmee fl orbit one villa phone number 1 (407) 396-0814 then press option 1. So I asked if parking free they said no it's the $9 a day resort fee which also pays for the pool game room. Then I asked that includes the shuttles???? He said no but will give to us a uber discount card that the hotel will pay for someone to take us 8mins down the road. Ummm I have two young kids in car seats. Yeah let me call john smith down the street to take my family of four 8mins away. They need car seats for a reason what uber driver has two car seats. So I guess we're driving to Disney now $20 a day....$60 just in parking. Then he insist to tell me there is a $100 deposit on the room we will pay and get back when we leave. So now I need to come up with the $60 for parking and a $100 deposit to put down. I think I f-ed up bad on this hotel. No shuttles at all... just uber drivers. --------------------------------------- We got back home from our vacation and loved the hotel 100% was so clean so friendly so pretty! We had a full kitchen filled with kitchen items such as frig and Oven also utensils , also was able to do laundry before we came home. I will be back def on our next vacation down there! Was nice to drive ourselves to Disney parks... got away from busy strangers faster haha! I attached our photos of room besides the spare bathroom... forgot. We checked in @4pm had a wait an hour to get into the room but all of the nerves went away when we walked in. Our room was on the third floor. I defiantly recommend getting! Had vaulted ceilings in living room and bedroom which made it feel so grand. Loved the homie feel!!! I gave my 4 yr old her own room 1 yr old on the sofa bed (queen) then husband and I had a beautiful king size bed and super big bathroom. Beds were comfy... well anything would have been comfy after 3 days of Disney haha. I loved that everyone had there own sleeping areas and privacy which gave husband and I great sleep! I wanted to provide my sincerest appreciation for all the kindness and excellent customer service provided during my stay at Orbit One Vacation Villas in Florida during the first week of our family vacation. Most importantly the extra effort provided by Mr. Joseph Tabor (Security Manager). When we checked out we left behind two items. One of high value and the other was my grandsons baby blanket that he cherishes. Mr. Tabor was kind enough to deliver these items personally to us at our Disney Hotel without hesitation. In this day and age it is tough to find honest, kind customer service. This is above and beyond the comfort of the 2 bedroom villa and absolutely wonderful children pool. I'll start off this review by saying it is an older property. That being said we have stayed here four to six times (can't remember exactly) and will continue to stay here. First the location is perfect. It's very close to Animal Kingdom, about five minutes, and about ten minutes to the other Disney parks. We had annual passes to Disney and stayed here almost every time. The one time we didn't we wished we had. Second the property itself is well maintained. It is older so you kind of have an 80's vibe to the buildings but there are lots of outdoor spaces like tennis courts, playground, sand volleyball, grill area, etc. the pool itself is very nice and a good size with a nice hot tub. There are a couple of smaller water slides as well. The nice thing about the pool in all the times we've been there it's never super crowded and the guests we've met have all been very nice. The hotel can't control the type of guests that stay there but it is a plus when they do seem to attract nice families for whatever reason. Third. The rooms. They are absolutely perfect for a family! Our children don't sleep well in the same room with us (2 and 5) so having a separate bedroom is a must for our sanity. Their room had two twins as well as their own bathroom. The master bedroom is a really good size and a nice sized bathroom. There's also a screened in porch which has a table and is plenty big for a meal for a family of four. There are three the (one for each bedroom and one for the living room) as well as a full kitchen, in room laundry, dining room and living room. The kitchen, dining room and living room are all in one room but are separate and not crowded at all. Keep in mind the room doesn't look like a luxury resort but it's clean and updated for the most part. The biggest complaint is that the master bath is a bit old and could use a complete guy but like I said it is clean. Fourth. The staff is very nice and very accommodating. On two occasions we had issues with our rooms. The first time the room wasn't completely clean and a closet door was broken. The second time our ac was broken. Both times they comped us a free room. They also are very friendly and attentive. Fifth. The best part, the price. You just can't beat the price for what you get. On a few occasions I've shopped around and we always come back there. The one time we stayed elsewhere the people we were with convinced us to stay at a regular hotel with one room. It ended up saving us only $15-20 and it was just one room with no kitchen, etc. We're excited for our next stay. :) read more

Booked a suite (for my honeymoon) through a travel agency without any prior knowledge of the resort. Being advertised a "a mile from Disney" (the clincher for our selection of this resort) is a gross twisting of facts--Orbit One might be a mile from the property lines of Disney World's resort, but to actually get to the front gate requires a solid 10-15 minute drive. Not to say it's horribly inconvenient, but it's much more than a mile. As for the quality of the room, at a glance the rooms seem fine. Closer examination, however, leaves a visitor with much to be desired: There is only one DVD player in the suite, which seems strange given that this is a mid-range resort with two bedrooms and a total of three TVs. The single DVD player's settings aren't even optimized for the HD-TV that it is hooked up to, leaving pictures stretched and/or skewed. Again, this might be a minor inconvenience, but a guest shouldn't have to set up the TV for the resort. The master bedroom's layout leaves tons to be desired: A very large and comfortable bed is between two unsightly armoires with built-in lamps that dangle far enough over the pillows that you will probably hit your head once or twice during your stay. Please note: These two small reading lamps are the only lighting in the amply-sized room. Also, since there are no nightstands, you have to pull the armoire's top drawer out to create a makeshift nightstand. The master bathroom's large spa tub is undermined by the extremely ugly, unadjustable showerhead; the showerhead is also oddly placed, making it so if you are of average height or taller, you have to bend far over to wash your hair for danger of creating a watery mess on the unsightly tile floor. The rooms come with few toiletries: A bar of soap for each bathroom and a man's razor. No shampoo, no body wash, nothing else. While every other resort and hotel along the main highway advertises free wifi access, Orbit One charges guests an exorbitant amount for subpar connectivity. Guests are invited to pay $7.99 per day or $29.99 per week for access to a .5mbps connection. Note: $29.99 is how much I pay per month for access to 8mbps at home. The front desk associates are very friendly and helpful, which was probably our only good experience at Orbit One during our honeymoon. The guest services associate, however, was pushy about having us attend an hour (or longer) sales pitch, and he turned hostile toward us when we turned down his offers. The customer service issues are exacerbated by the fact that you have to pay (per time) for house-keeping service. I don't know if this is the norm in Florida, but local, comparably-priced resorts (in central Washington) provide free house-keeping every day. Oddly, the resort's directions take you (from the airport) along the roads with what seemed to be the most tolls (with no warning of said tolls). I cannot blame the resort for Florida's tolls, but it does seem strange to this former guest that the resort would not tell you to bring $4+ in change for unmanned toll booths along the road. The resort was doing heavy landscaping everywhere, which led to noisy machinery pretty much during all daylight hours. Any leisurely time my wife and I wanted to spend in the room was backgrounded by the pleasant sounds of landscaping equipment. Finally, our particular room had a bug problem. A minor one, but a bug problem nevertheless. Through their design decisions and their communications to prospective guests, the management makes it clear that they have no interest in the convenience of their guests. Overall, I could never recommend this resort to anyone who wants to enjoy their stay in Florida. read more

This is a GREAT hotel/condo!!! I am shocked at the previous review. I booked a last minute vacation through my timeshare w RCI. I called RCI up a week ago and told them I wanted to go to Orlando for a week. They recommended Orbit One Villas, a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite. I didn't NEED 2 bedrooms, but the 2 bedroom was the same price as a 1 bedroom, so I said sure. Little did I know that this was exactly what I needed for my three year old daughter and myself. The condo/apartment is huge!!! I was on the third floor where the ceiling were vaulted, with lots of windows (moon windows) to bring in lots of natural light. Bigger than I expected. There is a 6 chaired dining room table, full size kitchen with a complete plate/silverware for 8 people, and all the appliances you will need for a home feeling. 1 bedroom has 2 twins, and the other a king size bed. The master bath has a HUGE spa/jacuzzi tub with stong jets. I LOVED THE JACUZZI TUB!!!! Big enough for 4 people or more. The living room is equipped with a dvd player, and a washer and dryer to clean your clothes at the end of the week. There is no maid service on a daily basis, but I didn't need that, nor do I want that. If I needed towels, which I didn't, I can call for maid service. The pool has two slides, that was my daughter's favorite. We spent every day at the pool swimming around. There are resort events to participate in throughout the week. Nothing serious, but I had fun at karaoke at the pool. I missed out on the ice cream social because I went to Disney. This place is really close to Disney. 3 miles away at most from Magic Kingdom and I cannot complain. We were there in less than 10 minutes. There is no shuttle to get there from the hotel, but I didn't have a problem with that since I rented a car for the week. Here is the thing... if you want to be CLOSE to Disney, then stay at a Disney resort, and pay the Disney prices!!!! This place has CHEAP rates on expedia for what you get versus Disney. There should be no complaining when you are paying $60-100/ni for a 2/2 that sleeps 6!! I mean, what more do you want?! Also, the guy was writing about Florida toll roads... this is FLORIDA!!! Yes, there are no free roads here. :( EVERYONE has to pay the $2 or whatever it is, to leave the airport, and another $2 to return. It has NOTHING to do with which hotel you will be staying at. Even if you stay at the Disney resort, you will pay the same. Breakfast is only donuts and muffins until 10a, but it's something. Internet is only free at the poolside or clubhouse. There is a nice playground for children. There are tennis courts and an arcade room for children. The entire complex is well maintained and clean. This place is GREAT!!! There is no granite countertops, or modern feel, but it is very cozy and I like that. This is why I can't give it 5-star! However, I went to visit my gf who is staying at the Hilton Vacation Villas in back of the outlets, and although that place was a lot bigger and more elegant, the inside was SMALL!!! The countertops were granite, but the space was a tiny one bedroom. Small small small. The entire place was updated though. If I had to choose where to stay, I'd stay at Orbit One Villas. The Hilton timeshare was about half the size of Orbit One, and the location was far from the parks, but close to the shops. Be warned, this place is a time share location. Although you can avoid the presentation pitch they tell you about when you check in (beware free gift), you will land on their robo call list and you will receive endless calls from unidentifiable numbers. The numbers will change so you cannot block them on your phone. The caller is a machine, so you cannot get them to stop calling you easily. Calls almost every day for last 6 months... Dirtbags Rooms were average. Alot of space. Pool was nice, although on the weekends it seems they rent it out to local kids groups so expect the pool to be full of totally unsupervised kids from some local community group. Avoid these hassles and stay at some cheaper place that won't endlessly nag you into the future about something you didn't want in the first place. This resort needs a lot of work. None of the rooms are updated. There is a gate but no security. Anyone can go in and out as they pleased. The front desk is good but really how many times you go the front desk while you are on vacation. The rooms were old and had stains in the carpet. Hot tub didn't work and kitchen was outdated. his is the best condo I've ever stayed in. It had a brand new couch set. 3 flat screen TVs. The flat screen in the living room is huge at least 42 inches maybe bigger. Maybe even be a 50-inch for all I know. The tub is an oversized jacuzzi tub that can fit two people comfortably. We got the two-bedroom that had a king size bed in the other room had two twin beds. The couch bed or a TempurPedic mattress which was very impressive extremely comfortable. All of these beds are comfortable. DVD players ceiling fans all the amenities you can ask for. The pool has slides at the splash pad pad this place is awesome for children. My kids love it me and my wife loved it it's only a couple miles from Disney World save your money and come here this place is awesome. read more

We have been owners for 30 years and NOWHERE on their website does it say they are closed due to hurricane damage. I just rented my week to someone through Ebay and now I have to tell them they can't use the week. No compensation, no alternatives, no nothing. in addition to time shares being a bad investment, these people are bad business owners. BE WARNED!! ONLY THE NEWER AND REMOLDED ROOMS ARE GOOD THERE ARE STILL OLD AND UNFINISHED ROOMS. We got an older room that has not been remodeled! Old appliances, furniture, ugly colored walls. The room was dirty didn't seemed vacuumed. The cabinets had scratches and scuffs and were not repainted. Small beds in guest room (twins) if you have a child over 5feet 7inches they would be to talk and feet would hang out. The tv's were very old. The light in the guest bed was a small lamp that is not light very well. On top of it all the room seems unfinished. Ex: new washer machine that looks nice but supper old dryer that looks more then 10 years old. Old kitchen but new table. Old tv's in rooms but in living room there was a newer tv. Then we asked if we could change rooms. And then they just put us in the exact some type of the room but this time it was a worst washer but a better master bathroom. This condo seems very inconsistent about it's remodeling. So everyone rooms has one nice thing and one bad thing. So before you get a room here MAKE SURE YOU GET A REMOLDED ROOM! read more

No wifi!!!! When asked about the wifi the front desk refer you to technical support; of course that was a waste of time, still no wifi!!!! The kids was not please. Unhappy kids unhappy mom. The rooms were spacious, although the carpet was old with a smell. The volleyball area has a lot of bees couldn't play. read more
