It costs me $6 total to dry the two loads (which I fit into one basket). Takes just over an hour to dry - so I definitely think the $6 is so worth it compared to me hanging up and taking down two loads of clothing on the line. And so much more worth it when there's a possibility of rain (don't you just hate running out of the house when it rains in Auckland to take down your clothes, and then 5 mins after taking your clothes down it's super sunny?). Yeah.. nah, not about that life. I'd rather spend the $6! Very good service the staff are friendly. Will continue coming here. I should seriously consider doing the combos. They look decent!

Took it home to find out that it's stained!!! Checked pockets and there was nothing in them for this to happen. Told me to come back on Thursday when the lady is working again, however that's 4 DAYS AWAY! Very slack service. Also charged me for a bag which I didn't need when I provided my own basket.

Richmond Road Laundromat offers self-service machines as well as an in-house service and to be honest the cost isn't that different. Sometimes I'll wash items at home and just take them here to be dried. Linen, sheets, towels etc - knowing they can be dry and folded in under an hour makes me do a little dance on the inside. It's the small things, ya know! The service is friendly and polite, and it doesn't break the bank.

Glen Eden has a couple, I recently visited Chatters Laundromat in Glenmall Place shops and armed with my own laundry powder it ended up only being $6.50 for the wash. Easy as, just pop in the duvet - or whatever large item it is you need to gently launder - get a little help from the friendly assistant as to what cycle is the best one to go with and return for pick up an hour or so later. I didn't use their dryers, they have plenty, because it's air drying weather however this is definitely an option.

We dropped off two sorted loads at the same time - one of colours and one of whites in separate bags. I was in a rush when I picked the stuff up and was only given a single bag back (which I guess I should have been suspicious about). When I got it home three of our white t-shirts were ruined with blue stains all over. I don't know how they managed it - I can only guess mixing some colours with our load of whites but it was worse than that, these were a total write-off. Seriously, if this is your daily business don't you know what you're doing? I didn't go back and demand a refund because clearly they'd gone to a lot of trouble putting the damaged gear at the bottom of our returned washing and decided to not even tell us and at least offer us our money back.

He did try to raise the price by 25% just recently, but we give him a lot of business and after questioning the increase he left it as the original price. However, we've just picked up a large basket of high quality white linen and about half of it has now become cream. This was hidden at the bottom of the basket. We took it back in to ask him what happened, and he got very defensive and unhelpful. We won't be going back. He just cost us $200 worth of linen and blamed us for the ruined linen.

It costs $4 for a regular load of washing, and $1.50 per 10mins in the dryer - useful knowledge for winter. The man who runs the Laundromat couldn't be nicer, and was very happy for me to leave the machine running and come back in half an hour when it was done. So, I popped across the road, got a great coffee and croissant from Pyrenees, and sat reading my book in rocket park for half an hour! So much nicer than being cooped up in a Laundromat watching a machine spin. There's parking on road right by the entrance, which is ideal when lugging laundry to and fro. Seriously, we are now reevaluating whether we should even be in a hurry to buy a new washing machine now....

The Rocket Park Laundromat is also incredibly reasonably priced. In the winter we take our laundry down already washed, and to get two loads dried and folded it only costs about $10! Well worth it! Tip: The Rocket Park Laundromat is open til around 6pm each night, so don't worry if you drop it off on your way to work, it will still be open for you to pick your garments up in the evening!
