All services offered in your local post office are available here too, except for perhaps some of the guaranteed delivery services, since this is on the other side of the Atlantic. If you are visiting Rota, you won't be able to use this, being available for use of those active duty members on the base, and their families. Military retirees in the local area who are registered as such onbase can use this post office, and they also offer post boxes for those military retirees registered with the Spanish government to be a permanent resident of Spain, with a residency card issued by the Spanish government. Just a little bit of home for those enjoying a very special and great military tour in España!!

It has more than 100 watchtowers, including the iconic Torre Tavira, which was traditionally used for spotting ships. On the waterfront is the domed, 18th-century Cádiz Cathedral, featuring baroque and neoclassical elements. The city's strategic location and its role in trade with the Americas significantly shaped its development, particularly during the 18th and 19th century. Cadiz was effectively the capital of "free Spain" during the Napoleonic Wars (Peninsular War) when Napoleon tried to invade. The Peninsular War, a major part of the Napoleonic Wars, was fought in Spain and Portugal from 1808 to 1814. It pitted France against Spain, Portugal, and Great Britain, and is notable for its brutal guerrilla warfare. There is a lot of history here. The Cadiz cruise port is conveniently located very close to the city center, making it easy for passengers to explore the historic town. This place is just outside the big Carrefour Norte shopping center. This place is HUGE!!! Looks…read morelike it could have been a former furniture store, it certainly has ALL the space for it. Everything you want: clothing, bathing suits, some shoes, books, stationary, school supplies, some limited furniture, any and everything in house and kitchen plastic ware, gloves, electronic accessories and devices, etc. You get the idea. If you looked at EVERYthing you'd be here three hours and 27minutes at the very minimum! Asian employees work the store and they watch like hawks each client that walks in! Closed-circuit TV and screens monitor all areas for theft prevention. I found some good things that I wasn't here for, but picked up because I simply needed it. I paid with a 50€ bill (smallest bill I had) and the asian girl complained in spanish that I was taking all her good change... I should have taken back my 50€ and walked out of the store instead. Limited street parking BUT you can park at the huge shopping mall parking lot next door and just walk over. Just remember this is basically a five and dime store (20 duros) store; you get what you paid for so if it breaks within 10mins or 2 days, don't complain! NOTE: They do NOT take returns for refund. Returns period is 15 days.

It's pleasant within, airy, the clothing ranges are stylish, there's a more bespoke range of wear, the well - appointed changing rooms are comfortable and not at all cluttered. There's are no pushy sales folks either so service is pleasant when sought (as it should be without being obsequious) and the prices are affordable. I ambled around inside for a bit then took meself to a nearby cafe. First world problems, again.

This bookstore has been here for ages. I irregularly come here for my newspapers, information on…read morebooks and its availability, etc. They stock a lot of things, not just books. You can find a wide selection of magazine and children's books, too, along with sets where something is packaged to be sold with a magazine or/and newspaper. Located in downtown Rota just across the street from the lovely Iglesia San Roque. No street parking available. Very friendly and helpful people and is a family-run business.
