I came in for a follow-up after an injection that did not provide relief. I explained that my condition has been getting worse and is significantly affecting my quality of life. Instead of discussing a clear path forward or alternative treatment options, I was essentially told there were no further plans and that he does not prescribe certain pain medications. While I understand doctors have their own approaches to treatment, I left feeling like my concerns were not taken seriously and that there was no real effort to help me find a solution. Being told I'm not a surgical candidate but then advised to "talk to a surgeon" was confusing and not helpful. After struggling with this condition for over a decade, I was hoping for guidance, options, or at least a plan -- instead I left feeling worse and without direction. I would not recommend if you are dealing with complex or ongoing pain and are looking for a proactive, solution-oriented approach.

To make an extremely long story short, I had begged for an epidural to find some relief from severe neck/nerve pain for 6+ months with no diagnosis. Dr. Battaglia was rude, unprofessional, and accused me of abusing my own medications, lied about multiple issues & told me there was nothing wrong with me except for 1 thing...he told me in the middle of the lobby in front of everyone that my pain was "self-inflicted" cardiac chest pain and I needed to get my "health in check" because I was killing myself. The next day I was in so much pain and in the back of my mind he had me so paranoid, I ended up making an unnecessary trip to the ER. Every cardiac test, labs, and vital sign was perfectly NORMAL. Eventually, I went to Mayo Clinic, where the physicians actually know what they're doing--I was diagnosed with foraminal stenosis at C3-4 & C6-8, which is extremely debilitating. And the treatment starting out is...a CERVICAL EPIDURAL! And medication for the pain! I just had my epidural and I am starting to feel better after suffering for months. These 5-star reviews are absolutely fake and the 1-star ones are mysteriously hidden to the public--I seriously don't know how this heartless bully still has his license to practice medicine. Please reconsider before seeing him or an establishment that supports this kind behavior and treatment of patients...

They only read my mri report and never looked at the actual disk which I found out later. should have been done as that is the practice for most drs doing this kind of procedure. The day of my epidural, Dr. Drourr came in and asked me which side is worse and then basically walked out and said OK I will see you in the procedure room. That was the first and only time I ever saw him. He never asked me any more in-depth questions and performed an epidural on me. The epidural did not work at all. When I went for my follow up appointment, again I was told I needed to meet with the nurse practitioner not the doctor. She suggested I do another epidural. I left and will never go back.

I was charged over $1,000 for an unnecessary 5-minute "test injection" to assess my candidacy for for a knee rhizotomy (nerve deadening) procedure for knee pain. After the procedure, to his credit, Dr. Drourr acknowledged that the test was not medically necessary. It is clearly done because his office attempts to extract the most money from each patient. After much back-and-forth, Dr. Drourr offered to take the original amount off the cost of the full knee rhizotomy procedure. So, on the basis of that I had the procedure done, but only after his office stalked me for pre-payment. I paid $3,600 out of pocket. After the procedure, a physician's assistant called and asked me to rate my pain on a 1 - 10 scale. That was it. She didn't tell me there would be a charge for the "courtesy" call, which took less than 3 minutes! And now I have received a new bill for $432 for that call. Interacting with the office staff there is pointless because they are just interested in getting you to pay. Go elsewhere.
