Small (very) gas station store. Since it's so small, it's easy to find everything. Bought some mtn dew after a flea market

Sheetz - Bratwurst on a pretzel bun was kind of a mess. That weiner was crammed into the small bun!

So that kinda sucked. The breakfast sandwich (biscuit, maple sausage and American cheese) was borderline nasty, with cheese possibly by DuPont, and clearly microwaved hot. The hash browns were good. Eh...my expectations were low, and met. It's nothing I do often, so what-evs...

I had meetings scheduled all day, so I went for lunch around 10:30a and it was a good time to go. I ordered the half Garden of Eatin' hoagie which was a pretty fresh tasting sandwich. I didn't read all of the ingredients and was surprised by the cream cheese inside it. Leave it to Sheetz to put cream cheese on a sandwich. Absolute genius. I also ordered the app sampler ($5) with cheese sticks, cheese curds, and jalapeño poppers. WOW, what a great selection and probably too much fried. When the chef de cuisine called my order, he informed me the cheese sticks had a blowout in the fryer (foreshadowing for later, maybe?), and they re-dropped them. Pretty awesome if you ask me as some places would have just put the empty soul-less cheese sticks into the container. I grabbed a drink, paid, and was back in the office in no-time. I'd probably STILL be in line at Popeye's had I gone there (why are they so slow when all the chicken is done already?). Anyway, for a gas station, Sheetz is top notch for food.

I'm regularly coming in for a roast beef sandwich, lettuce, tomato, mayo on rye bread and they make it just the way I ask them because I'm fussy like that. But they smile and they laugh at me when I roll my eyes and tell them that I know I'm difficult. I truly appreciate that they have high-quality fresh produce, excellent meats, pantry staples, a quality selection of crackers and cookies, Bread Works bread, and the best local ice creams. But they also have ready to bake hors d'oeuvres and fancy little tidbits for a last-minute party. I don't know what our neighborhood would do without them.

I miss this place now and whenever I'm around I am very tempted to get a sandwich. They really do it right here, this is one of the best in the city. They have a great menu selection for recommendations. Everything is made to order so you can add or subtract almost anything you can think of to your sandwich. The selection of groceries and deli offerings are always fresh. The have the Boar's Head brand of deli meats and cheeses, great selection. If you dive into the grocery selection you'll find a lot of special things there, fresh, frozen and dry: Meats, cheeses/dairy, breads, snacks, condiments, baking items, beverages... Some interesting vegan options are here too. This is a very curated and enjoyable market. Shopping here got my household through some hard times during the pandemic. I can't say enough good things, if you are ever in the area you should stop in and check it out.
