The salesmen are very competent, they don't try to sell as fast as they can, they guide you through their product range. Of course they are more expensive than the notorious german discount chains, but the difference is smaller than you would think.
At least one of the optometrists is able to speak english, so Kelb is probably the way to go for english speaking folks in Hamburg.
You can get there by Subway. Take the U1 to Wandsbek Markt, follow the signs to Einkaufszentrum and take the stairs on the left side when you see the big Quarree sign. The store is 50m ahead on the right.
