But then it's for students, who don't want to spend a ton of cash on various fruity beers. And in that it was kinda cool to get a bottled cider for less than 4 quid. That said the cheesy chips were just short of 4 quid too and in quality probably worth about 1. I was very disappointed with the food if I'm honest. The staff seemed friendly right up until the end when one of the guy staff turned into a massive douche and wouldn't let us use the toilet because it was in the 'out of bounds' area, there are toilets around the corner we were told, only to find this was a disabled loo for all 4 of us that wanted to spend a penny. And then the scrabble set was rubbish too!

SO much random stuff you would be fine to go alone and just look around for half an hour, lol. A whole wall full of clocks which is why it is dubbed 'clock cafe' rather than LS6. Prices are a bit much for a 'cafe' but what they serve is nice enough with lovely little glass cups and saucers and leaf pots for tea. Staff are very relaxed which makes for a nice atmosphere. If you are in the area I would go in but not sure that I would pick it out of anywhere to go in Leeds.

Living in a student-filled area, both my partner and I receive a load of leaflets and other items…read morethrough the post each day. Almost all the leaflets we get are for takeaway places and one such place was Greasy Pig. When we flicked through the menu and had a look at all the food items we were shocked and amazed at how big and delicious everything sounded. Naturally we wanted to give a new place a go and our first order consisted of 2 "big dogs" with a couple of milkshakes and a stack of pancakes with maple syrup, it was quite pricey but the portions were alright. Our second order consisted of another "big dog" but my order was the chilli with seasoned fries. Again, the "big dog" was not disappointing however, the "chilli" was a very big let down for the price that was paid for it. It consisted of a big pile of seasoned fries with a small amount of chilli plopped on top. Anyone that has ordered from here before knows that the chilli comes as an added option for £2.50 and you get a small pot of it. It feels like two or three of these small pots were used and it could hardly be called "chilli." I feel I would get a cheaper, better effect by buying some seasoned chips and a can of chilli con carne from my local grocery store. This didn't put me or my girlfriend off though, as the other items sounded pretty good and we at least wanted to try some other things before we gave this place the seal of approval. This, however, is where the problems began, as since our first two orders, we haven't been able to order anything since! The third time we tried they said they shut at 6, which we didn't know because it was such a small change to the second menu that came through the door about a month or so later that I just threw it away and kept the first one. The fourth time we tried to order was yesterday (Friday, 29/01/2016) and they said that it was collection only, "since when?" we asked only to get a "Since today, we don't have a driver." This was only a small blip, so we gave them a try today only to be told that they don't deliver on weekends! Y'know, the days when people actually want takeaway food the most!! I would have said that I admire their honesty but with a different excuse everytime we rang up, it's hard to tell if and when they are actually being honest. They get two stars as a takeaway but only for the delicious food.

Real good value for money, tasty food, nice staff, really recommend. Could whine about the…read moreoccasional wait, the occasional delivery not possible today, but - if you want a tasty breakfast , from a clean cafe, lovely staff, great value , go here.

Having read the reviews I'd been waiting to pounce on the opportunity to order a burger from Peach…read moreAnd Pear Café and last night that opportunity sprang forth. It was late, I still hadn't been for a shop and I was starving. Having already perused the Just Eat menu I was aware that I only needed to spend the grand sum of £6 for free delivery, so I brought up the menu and coerced my housemate into getting involved. We both chose a burger, for me the standard with cheese, my friend the stringy meat burger with cheese. I know, the stringy meat burger really doesn't sound appealing, but I was assured that it was lovely. There are some creative options, such as Thai style - with smoked tofu and chilli sauce - so more than just the average burger is available. They each came in at just under four quid, and for that we got an entire portion of home made chips (which, strictly speaking were more like wedges) so there is no need to order in an extra portion as we did! And of course these wedges/chips deserve a special mention as they were delicious! Now, to the meat of it. The burger itself was middling - way better than your average fast food establishment. A lovely soft seeded bun, more akin to a lovely sandwich roll than anything else, which was really nice. It came packed with fresh salad and in spite of travelling from Hyde Park it was still rather warm. The meat itself was seasoned nicely and the burger was more of a flat large patty than a juicy BBQ style burger. Whilst it was really enjoyable, it wasn't quite excellent - I wish it had been a touch juicier and the small amount of cheese I had wasn't melted, which was a shame! However, there are three reasons to give four stars. Although the burger wasn't everything I've been dreaming of, the chips were delicious. I also ordered a Toblerone milkshake (I forget what it's officially called) and it was amazing. So tasty and creamy and perfectly blended, so there were no annoying chunky bits to distract from the shake. It tasted like liquid chocolate, but somehow sweet, light and beautifully frothy. Delicious! On top of that their delivery dude was the nicest, most friendly delivery guy I've encountered. Rather than shove everything my way and shoom off he greeted me with a huge smile, asked how I was and said he hoped we enjoyed the meal! I know it might be overkill, as it took all of 30 seconds, but really that kind of happy service was unexpected and most welcome. Props to him, it's lovely to have someone so friendly give you your food! So, all in all, I'm a fan. And at a minimum of £6 to spend in order to get delivery, it's pretty much a win win situation. Since I don't often go to Hyde Park I'm not sure I'll ever have the chance to eat in, but order in I shall. If for nothing else but the delicious milkshakes...

The deli section sells a full menu of sandwiches, soups, cakes and a delicious selection of hot specials. I had a very tasty red Thai curry with jasmine rice just recently. There is a seating area both inside and outdoors to eat at. They serve a lifesaving full English breakfast at a reasonable price, and can be responsible for reactivating your brain, following a night out. The other side of Yum Yum is a convenience store, selling fresh fruit and vegetables, pastries, tinned goods, various snacks and a range of wines and beers. They are significantly overpriced, but that is the cost of convenience. I also think their nearby rival Simpsons stock a far better range of products. All in all, it is a useful place to have around, but there are superior alternatives in the area.

The saviour of so many lunchtimes has been Yum's. They never fail to have something interesting on offer. There are usually several hot options such as pasta bake, burritos and a roast pork baguettes and a couple of really good sandwich specials. Highlights for me have included pulled pork with salad and chipotle mayo and ham, smoked cheese and onion marmalade both on sourdough baguettes. The footling hotdog was also a touch. You can also have your own sandwich made, they have loads of filling options and the cakes look awesome- its like subway if subway sold proper food! They do a large range of American sweets and drinks although every other shop in Leeds seems to offer these now. Yum's also have a massive selection of beers and I believe they open for dinner in the evenings doing pizza etc, if I lived at brewery wharf I wouldn't need to go anywhere else! They are a little expensive when you consider a meal deal at Sainsbury's is three quid but what you get is vastly superior. One of their daily special sandwiches and a can of coke will set you back about a fiver which is pretty good as you'll get something really tasty you will actually enjoy!
