I wanted to write this review to help others in their decision of hiring this architect…read more Unfortunately, we did not do enough research before hiring Ann to design our house plans. We went with Ann because some friends had used her and didn't really have a lot to say but we later found out that their builder changed a lot that was wrong with their plans. We also later learned of another set of plans that had to be fixed by hiring another architect because the structure was not properly supported in the plans provided by Ann. We had the same structure issues but we were working alongside a builder and he told her how to put the necessary structural support in our plans before the final draft was made. I thought that by hiring Ann I would receive design thoughts and ideas worth considering to better our plans. Instead we were on our own and when we made changes to the drafts I had to sketch out our changes to get her to understand what changes we wanted made. I never thought that we would need to draw out our plans to have them redrawn or that someone would need to help her with the structural design! She also does not provide paper copies that can be used to build from. In addition to an extremely high architect fee, we had to pay to have our plans printed! Ann is way overpriced for what she did for us and I wouldn't recommend using her.
