It's not super pretty- it's basically just the airport hotel really close to the airport- but it's a great place to stay when you're tired and need a good place to crash right away. My fiance and I were in Porto for less than 24 hours and decided to book Solar Antigo due to its…read moreclose proximity to the Porto Airport. Not only was it located a short walk away from our departure gate, but we were able to drop off our rental car and walk less than five minutes (virtually 200 feet) to the hotel entrance. Our room wasn't yet ready when we arrived, so we dropped off our belongings and hopped a 20 minute Uber to downtown Porto. Upon checking in in the evening, we were greeted with champagne, bundt cake, and complimentary access to the beer and fruit juice in the minibar. Despite the fact that we were up before 4 AM for our flight, we were delivered a delicious hot breakfast and were driven to our departure gate by a friendly staff member, which was extremely sweet, and for which we were grateful. We expected Solar Antigo to be just another airport hotel, but we were VERY pleasantly surprised. A super clean facility, comfortable room, and amazingly-friendly and attentive staff.
