The fitness center is small but has all the equipment you need to get a good workout in. Lucky for me it was not busy but I imagine with more than 3 people in there at once it would feel crowded. After a quick shower I relaxed in the spa lounge with a lovely cup of tea. The lounge very relaxing and calm. The adjoining room is where the sauna and steam room were. Bright and clean. I had my massage which was satisfactory. The therapist worked on the areas that I asked her to. After the massage I headed into the relaxation room which consisted on several lounge chairs separated by a thin curtain. In the middle of the room was an eye catching fire place. I chilled out there for a while. What I liked about this place was the sense of calm in each room and the cleanliness. For a day pass at 119 CHF (including massage) I think good value for money - Zurich prices - if you can spend the entire day there.

This is the nice river that flows from Lake Zurich northwest through Zurich. It's used for…read morehydroelectric power and also for swimming. Every August the city holds the Limmatschwimmen, where thousands of people jump into the river and float downstream holding onto rubber duckies (or butterflies, as was the case this year). Due to incredible popularity, tickets run out like crazy, so I haven't been able to attend yet. Let's keep my fingers crossed for next year! Every December the city holds the Lichterschwimmen, where primary school children release 800 miniature candle boats to float down the river. Zurich Tourism also hands out free punch and Tirggel biscuits for onlookers to enjoy.

When you play badminton during the weekdays (peak time), it's CHF 31 but you get 45 minutes. On weekends you pay the same but you get an additional 15 minutes more. It gets quieter over the weekends so it all makes sense. If you forget to bring your equipment they helpfully will lend you but for a price (pretty reasonable about CHF 10). And if you forget to even bring clothes or sneakers don't fret, they sell all of that here! :-) In the summers the roof top slides open, so thankfully you are still getting some air in. The Yonex hall in Zurich doesn't, so during those times you would hopefully avoid playing badminton in the dog days of Zurich summer. Thankfully in Zurich it doesn't happen much but certainly the 2015 summer was an anomaly and did get its fair share of smelly hot days. The shower facilities have improved from years ago and I use it bc it's clean. So that's also a very helpful plus when you come here Best of all, it's only a several minute train ride from Bahnhof Stadelhofen and direct access train to Aarau. Not too shabby!
