Max Poulet is a mobile van of grilling chickens. The company has over twenty vehicles that roam throughout Switzerland servicing over 100 points of sale while following a regular route that you can check out on their website. They simply sell half or whole grilled chickens to take away, with chips, or french fries. If you are in a hurry and want to grab something to take home for the family for dinner the chicken here is pretty good. Pass the french fries though. They have been sitting heating all day while the chicken fat is dripping on them and are very soggy. I prefer my fries to be a bit on the crunchier side.

From reading their website, this is where Fabrizio Panini started. Now I can see other stores selling pre packaged Fabrizio throughout Geneva. It is hard to find a category for this little place. I believe this is the 2nd year for the La…read moreRoulotte. It seems to open each April in time for the warmer Spring - Summer weather. It is located on the other side of the Nyon train station across from the entrance to the local red train that goes up to Saint Cergue. It is temporary food stand/outside cafe. I finally got a chance to enjoy a late summer evening here after getting off the train. This place is always packed and can often be hard to find a seat. All the seating is outside and you go up to the trailer window to place your order and take it back to your seat. Then take your dishes back to the window when you are done. They serve a choice of coffee, tea, beer, wine or other alcohol free drinks. They also have a variety of light items to snack on (changes each day). Typically they offer salads, sandwiches, a meat/cheese plate, sorbet, yogurt, or home made sweets. I happened to take an espresso and couldn't resist a slice of chocolate tart. My espresso was fine, but the chocolate tart melted in my mouth and was perfection - lightly crispy on the outside and gooey soft on the inside. YUMMY! If I get a chance to stop by here again I will before it closes. Dependent on the weather it closed last year at the end of September - beginning of October. Fantastic little spot to enjoy a drink on a beautiful day as you are waiting for the train or ending a day.
