Thanks to the exceptional rehabilitation team, I received occupational and physical therapy twice a day from a caring, knowledgeable, and supportive staff. Their doctors met my every need. During my stay, I experienced some unexpected complications from the surgery that required me to extend my time there, but their team continued to provide unwavering support and attention working with my insurance to asure I was getting the care I needed. After 24 days, I was able to walk out of the facility--something that would not have been possible without their dedication and expertise. The staff was compassionate, attentive, and truly listened to my needs during a very difficult time. I highly recommend this facility and am incredibly grateful for the care I received.

My mother stood here for 2 months and almost died last night and is in icu in critical condition with sepsis, mrsa and a brain infarction because of their careless staff. If my aunt didn't find my mother reaching for air, almost not breathing, and her blood sugar severely high, she would not be here today. When she tried to tell the staff what was going on, the staff annoyingly said they already checked her vitals which was clearly not true. I'm pretty sure my mom tried to get help and they ignored her. Ambulance had to be called. These people are not attentive at all and don't care about the patients. Seem to only care about a paycheck. I seen a review of a patient getting wrong doses of meds and dirty needles. Pretty sure something similar is what happened to my mom. My mother will never be going back and you people should be ashamed of yourselves! Don't send your loved ones here

The optometrist was very nice but his assistant, actually know. I can't believe she had me take an eye test with my dollar store glasses on! You're not gonna get an accurate reading of my eyesight that way but she insisted . This is not the first time this place has really messed up. I remember I had a problem which I don't care to repeat and the cream I got said specifically on the cream not to be used for the condition I had. The doctor refused to get on the phone with me. So there you are. This is where many people go that don't have a whole bunch of money to spend on medical care. They take Medicaid but since they're stripping Medicaid away from 70 million Americans, I guess we should be grateful for even this lousy care. About 20 years ago I went and met a wonderful doctor from India. She told me she was into missionary medicine. In other words she chose not to be a millionaire with her degree and just wanted to help people. Just don't have the energy to wait 3 1/2 or four hours to see a doctor anymore . Don't have the stamina. I can't remember her name but she was fantastic and I don't even know she works there anymore. I also got bifocals and I have to break my neck to use them. Ridiculous. Welcome to America people. If you're not rich and you don't have a whole bunch of money to spend on medical care this is the treatment you're going to get. Even if you do have health insurance you might get treated terribly anywhere . I can't believe what we both been through in the last decade. It's just been a horror show all around. For example in Caremount they let us run around with extremely high blood pressure until another doctor sent us to the hospital on a gurney. The hospital was northern Westchester which I had been going to since I was a kid. Seems there have been no upgrades since I was a child and that was not yesterday. tons of people running around, and they then they think you're crazy when you tell them you can't see at night because you have cataracts. So it took half an hour for them to release me and they all thought I was nuts but I ended up driving home fairly blind anyway. It was terrifying. I think it's logical not to want to drive half blind. Apparently they just thought I was nuts. I have left my car at the doctor that insisted I go by ambulance to this hospital and no they did not give me any blood pressure medication. I had to wait until the next day after everyone was screaming heart attack and stroke level blood pressure and finally get about half the medication I needed. Unbelievable.

They try to be single point of access but can't. Urgent care can take days to access. People are sent home. Patients can't see their doctor post surgery for weeks after discharge. The patient portal set up is sub par for communicating and you cannot access every provider. I hope they merge with someone that can help them expand and grow properly. There are a few medical organizations in the area that may be a good fit.

They generally avoid over prescribing medication, which could be frustrating for some parents, but probably is best practice for the child over the long run. When my son had an emergency illness and was subsequently hospitalized for three days, they kept in constant with me and the hospital to stay fully informed of his situation. I want to give special praise to one doctor in particular, Dr. David Costabile. He is extremely patient, listens to your concerns and thoroughly addresses all your questions no matter how minute. He explains everything in layman's terms and never throws medical jargon in your face. He has been the best health care profession that I've ever dealt with.

He's also a really excellent clinician who picked up early on my daughter's mild heart murmur and an astigmatism through routine physicals. We have also seen the other doctors and the nurse practitioner Renee, who is lovely - all of them seem ready to go the extra mile for their patients. The office is very responsive and has always fitted us in quickly for issues of concern, as well as helping fix appointments with specialists when needed. Only two minor quibbles: they do keep you waiting for routine visits, at least 30 mins in my experience (Dr Roye especially seems to run late perhaps bc she spends extra time with young patients!). Tedious with a newborn. Also one thing for nursing moms: I found that like with other doctors, there is some pressure here for newborns to regain birth weight faster than breastfeeding often allows; it's helpful to come armed with an opinion from your lactation consultant. All in, we are really happy with the practice and would not change.

I did not have much contact with staff as I was from out of town and another family member was in charge, we were visiting from hours away. While visiting, I observed that on her instructions to staff that she needed to be fed (she could not hold a fork). On two occasions during my visit and during a phone call, I saw and heard that she informed the servers she was unable to eat her meal and asked for help. She was ignored. She had lost considerable weight over timeand frail but sitting up and conscious. Another family member and I also noted her fingernails were black from trying to eat food with her fingers. I believed her nails were not cleaned and we had to do it twice ourselves when we had a chance. I had spoke with a staff member about the problem but the neglect never changed from what I could understand. The day before her discharge I tried to call the floor nurse and social worker from out of town but no one answered their phone. I finally asked the switch board for the ombudsman and I reported the problem. He seemed more worried about the hygiene instead of the fact that my sister was being starved. This was supposed to be a quality hospital but as a health care professional I was appalled at the level of basic care. Candace Saint (703) 801:-

I wish someone would develop another trauma center because the medical care here is terrible. I pray that the terrible people are all replaced and they receive divine retribution for their lack of compassion. I want to highlight two particular people- nurse Margaret and Glenn from the second Medical ICU. They're exceptionally rude individuals, who makes me wonder why they would ever become a nurses. Because they have such poor bedside manners. My mother in law is passing away and these two nurses on the second floor won't let the family be with her. We just want to sit beside our mom, and these two nasty nurses are big on having a power trip on removing people who just want to stay by their mother's bedside when she's unresponsive. The audacity of these people. They said that my mother-in-law is not "actively dying", meaning they didn't pull the plug, so they' fought us on staying with her! Imagine your mom passing away and not letting the family stay by her side. DONT COME HERE.

I talked to doctors 2 times and a social worker once and on all 3 occasions they either were thoroughly confused or they just did not care about providing care and instead just lied to me. Of particular note was a Dr. Asmin or Asmen (I might be a little off on his name). He called me to report on the condition of my 80 year old mother after a painful fall. It's wonderful that he called, and if anything he said was honest I would be writing a positive review here. Instead he swore up and down that my mother must been out of her senses when she complained about the medical staff at night moved her injured legs with complete disregard for her immense pain. The doctor promised me that not only was my mother not in pain but that she was given morphine twice. He stated the exact times the medication was given as if he was double-checking to be safe. When I arrived at the hospital I double checked with the nurses, they confirmed that no pain medications were given. I called the doctor back with the nurse at my side, and the doctor said, "honestly, your mother isn't even my patient." Mind you, he had called me, unsolicited, to inform me of how well she was being treated, when the exact opposite was true. Your hospital is pretty, but I would never trust it in a real emergency. If you have family that ends up here, know that it's on you to verify the honesty of everything the staff claims. Be safe and verify everything. 3 lies in a row from doctors isn't an error, it's a pattern showing lack of care, sloppliness, and true incompetence.
