Highly recommend bringing towels, bug spray, water proof phone case, snacks and if you choose the Cenotes bring a flash light if you arent a fan of the dark. My friends and I really enjoyed our experience. Everything was organized. We had plenty of time to ourselves to explore and overall we felt really safe. We booked on Trip Advisor to get the price of $170. I'd recommend going through maybe your resort or hotel to see if you can get an additional discount.

It was a little on the pricey side, but overall it was an enjoyable time. We had to reschedule the first date we chose because it was windy and pouring down rain. The second date was perfect weather. We were picked up at the resort and driven quite far to a smaller marina in north Cancun. The boat was older and pretty basic. We did like the fact that it was a smaller group - maybe 20 total people. We stopped half way to Isla Mujeres and snorkeled for 15-20 minutes. We saw quite a few fish and a manta ray. When we got back on the boat, we were handed a paper bag with an apple and either a chicken burrito or a ham and cheese sandwich. No chips or anything. Drinks were included and while they were pretty tasty, there could not have been much alcohol in them. We decided to walk and shop on Isla Mujeres, checked out the beautiful beach with clear water, then sat at a restaurant on the beach to wait for the return trip. Three hours was too long for us on the island, but I guess if you rented a golf cart or taxi, it might have been fine. Overall, we felt it was priced a little high for the overall experience. But we did enjoy ourselves, nonetheless.

The natural surroundings, cenotes, lazy river, and waterslides offer a full day of adventure and relaxation. If you break down the ticket price by the activities included, it's actually a solid overall value. But let's be clear: this is not a 5-Diamond experience. The food is the biggest letdown. The buffet is nothing special--average at best. The fries, in particular, are almost always cold and soggy, thanks to a heating system that doesn't keep up, even when food is freshly made. It's the kind of food that fills you up but doesn't leave an impression. A few tips to help you make the most of your trip: * Buy tickets online in advance - This helps you skip the lines and sometimes score a small discount. * Avoid visiting during election season - Due to Mexican law, no alcohol is served during this time, even at tourist locations. If part of your plan is to sip a drink by the water, plan around that. * Skip the timeshare presentation - While it might sound like a good deal (free breakfast + discounted or free tickets), it's really just a pitch to buy into a discount program. You're not buying a vacation home--just access to marked-up offers with a "discount" tag. If you do your homework, you can usually find better deals on your own. Then they tried to insinuate that it was our fault that we missed our bus a 5-minute checkout turned into a 30 minute checkout because a f****** on their part. on the drive back from xoximilco, there was a group of about 10 people that were clearly intoxicated, being very disruptive and nothing was done about it. Skip the timeshare presentation they told us that we would get a $400 massage and it turned out to be maybe a $70 massage also they say it's an hour and a half from beginning to end and it took over 2 1/2 hours. The all-inclusive is definitely worth it if you eat a lot and drink a lot which is something we did. on our last night there we went to restaurant that supposedly had the tomahawk steaks come to find out they didn't they had sent their meats to another restaurant so that was very disappointing. They did a great job trying to find the Whale sharks, we got skunked. I knew the possibility was low this time of year but gave it a shot. No let's get to the logistics of the trip. First we were supposed to be picked up in Plays del Carmen at 7:30 7:45. Had to get up at 6:00 (again I knew all of this) they showed up around 8:20 and the driver drove 120-130 KPH. Sketchy, the van Is at least 10 years old packed with 10 people and he was weaving in and out u ok Durazo e so much. It just was very unsafe. The next issue is the trip is $200 per person (again no issue) when the final charges were done it was $246 per person plus the $10 charge for the eco fee. All of this would not have mattered probably if we had seen a whale shark. I would not suggest this for families it is very rough open ocean. If you get motion sickness at all make sure you take medication 2 of the 10 got sick. Overall I would not suggest doing this excursion unless you are actually staying in the Can Cun area and after June 1.

While at the market Nassim treated us to delicious authentic mexican enchiladas and beverages. After leaving the market we went to the La Parrilla restaurant for the cooking class. This is when Nassim showed us he was more than a tour guide , he is a phenomenal private chef. He was extremely patient with us as we attempted to follow his lead as he showed us how to prepare the dishes. HIs knife skills are amazing and his use of seasonings is spot on. Nassim showed us how to make authentic corn tortillas for chicken enchiladas along with the red sauce , handmade sopas for chicken sopas and an amazing guacamole . Nassim and the La parilla staff treated us to delicious margaritas while the food was cooking. When the food was almost finished cooking, we assisted Nassim in plating the meal and we sat down with him to eat. Nassim excused himself towards the end of the meal to finish making the arroz con leche, which is a delicious rice dessert he served us. In conversation I had mentioned we were in Mexico to celebrate my birthday. Nassim , very thoughtfully and unexpectedly, had a slice of birthday cake brought to me as he and the restaurant staff sung happy birthday to me at the end of the class.
