This wasn't a case of trying to make it through before the light turned from yellow to red; no, the van wasn't even in the intersection yet and it was red already. I honked my horn to voice my displeasure - there are kids on bikes who cross here all the time - and was greeted by a middle finger that the driver proudly displayed out the driver's window. Anyway, I pulled out when it was safe and, as he was going the same direction as me, I jotted down the info for the van he was driving (van #38, plate #ZDW 4164). At the next light, he turned left and me right; noticing in his rear view that I was still looking at him, he gave me the middle finger salute a second time. Wow. Does this employee understand that, while driving a company van, he is a REPRESENTATIVE of the company, especially when the company name, phone number (443-731-3700), etc. are plastered all over it? Given the lack of character, good judgment, and intelligence this driver exhibited, there's NO WAY I'd let anyone associated with this company anywhere near my house to do any plumbing or electrical work.

I tried to explain that my electricity went out at 7:44 AM, all of a sudden, all at once. She repeated again rather sharply, "I don't have anyone here who can help you!" There was an emphatic pause, dead silence, nothing. Wow I thought, she just wants me hang up...to go away and leave her alone. How rude I thought. Doesn't she want or need my business? I was so surprised at her abruptness, emphatically stating so quickly that she couldn't help me and gave me nothing more, like some advice or something...I had to ask her, "Are you a business?" And I asked if there was another time, anytime, maybe? No, she said she was booked for two weeks! Well, I was sure that I didn't want to sit in the dark for two weeks. Wow. No one at Crouse Electric could check my electric or guide me? I was only five minutes away (But she didn't know that, because she never asked). I was so surprised at her immediate rejection of my call. She didn't take my name or address for her business records and maybe she'd get back with me later. She didn't give me advice as to what to check or what steps I should take. Nothing. It was clear. Hang up! She didn't want my business no matter who I was. I can't help but think...maybe if I told her needed outside lights installed and designed around my pool and barbecue area, solar lights that come on automatically when it gets dark...maybe she would have seen the dollar signs $$$...maybe she would have been nicer to me and would have been eager to take my name and address because it was a real $$$ money job. After waiting for over an hour my electricity was restored by the electric company. Why couldn't she have been kind enough to advise me to wait and see if the electric company would do something? and then give her a call back. As it stands now, I will NEVER ask Crouse Electric to help me...with designing outside spotlights around my pool, or anything! Heck, I won't ask them to do any work for me now or anytime in the future. She didn't have to blow me off like that. She was so rude. I can take my business elsewhere. Actually, I found a very pleasant electrician, Curtis Hawk of Hawk's Electric, located in Littlestown only 15 minutes away. He was kind and said he'd be there in the afternoon, and he would call me when he leaves. (Smart! The delay was perfect!!) About an hour later, I called Mr. Hawk back to tell him the electric company turned my electricity back on. Mr. Hawk said if I needed him in the future for anything, just give him a call. He will get my business!!

I worked directly with Jerred and he was amazing! He came out (On Labor Day!!!) and 100% saved me. It was warm, and I had a bunch of family in town for the holidays and an extremely hot house wasn't going to work for me. I called Holtzople around 10 am, they answered the phone live (only company I could find that didn't go to VM) and Jerred was out within a few hours. He was very informative and quick (which was important because, no offense to Jerred, I prefer to spend the holiday with my family instead of him) and didn't even charge extra because it was a holiday. Turns out I had a contactor that went bad (he showed it to me... it was literally burnt at the top) and was a pretty quick and easy fix. I am VERY happy with the customer service, pricing and speed of service. If you have an issue (especially on a holiday) make sure to call Holtzople and ask for Jerred!

I couldn't be happier with my large roof mounted residential solar array installed by Gettysburg…read moreStove and Solar. Their lead techs and installers, Bill and Tory, were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Jessica, my contact person, was always quick to get back to me with any questions I had. Their quoted price was comparable to the lowest prices quoted on residential solar installations per watt or kWh anywhere in the US according to my research online. Gettysburg Solar allowed me to do my own research and choose the exact brand and model of both solar panels and inverters that I wanted. This was after providing me their quote. They put no restrictions on my panel and inverter choices. I went with very well regarded panels and top of the line inverters. This did not affect my quoted price! My inverters (Sunny Boy 6.0) have a unique feature that allows a 110v AC outlet to be wired directly from each inverter. This outlet can be used to power lights, charge phones, run computers, etc during a power outage. In my arrangement, each inverters AC outlet can provide up to 2000 watts of power when the sun is shining and the grid is down. Adding these additional outlets to each inverter (4 total) required quite a bit of additional work and materials. This wasn't something that was included in my original quote either, yet Gettysburg Solar happily installed these additional features at no extra cost. Bill and Tory made several additional trips to my house to make adjustments to the set-up of these outlets and to make sure everything was functioning as intended. These additional trips were all on their own accord, not at my prompting. All of the work performed was top notch and tidy. I've owned my own businesses for over 20 years, and I've hired many contractors for many projects. Only a few have come as close to delivering as positive of an experience that Gettysburg Stove and Solar delivered. At every turn, the entire crew from Gettysburg Solar would go the additional mile to deliver even more than they promised. I contracted this project late in the year 2017. To insure I would be able to apply for the 30% Federal tax credit on solar installations on my 2017 taxes, Gettysburg Solar said they were confident they could have the system installed and ready to go before December 31st, 2017. I was a bit skeptical given the holidays and unpredictable winter weather, but sure enough, the system was up and ready at the end of December. So if you are thinking solar, there has never been a better time and I highly recommend giving Gettysburg Stove and Solar a call.
