This place is pathetic they will attack your wallet at all cost. As far as living my building was roach infested. I told them right away and my response was "sorry". After reading reviews they've known about the issue for a while. Be prepared to pay every fee and avoid the property manger at all cost she treats her employees horribly, she is extremely rude. Verbally telling me as a nurse I should be able to email her during the business day even if I'm working (guess I thought my job was More important than it was) when I responded 1 business day late to her. FYI if your 60 day notice is late (from my experience) prepare for at least a 90% rent increase for ever day it's late. Read your contract too, if you were unaware your 60days was up then they did not properly inform you and you do not owe them that money. This is my honest review. I loved all the workers except for Diedra and the company as a whole is coming after your wallet and will take every cent they can in anyway they can.

Not only am I saving over $850 a month, but I'm MUCH happier here for several reasons: 1) The management here is unusually responsive to maintenance issues, unlike the "luxury" place. Major kudos to Tracy, the office manager, who bends over backwards to "make your day great" - she always answers the phone, "how can I make your day great". But I also have to say, everyone in maintenance and at the office are always friendly, courteous and eager to answer your questions and help out. 2) Carlyle Place is attractive and quaint and my apartment is conveniently laid out. The "luxury" place was noisy (constantly heard the drone of an emergency helicopter landing at the medical center. The "luxury" place had extremely low water pressure. Here the water pressure is excellent - believe me, that's important. 3) Carlyle Place seems to be very safe; so far, so good. At the "luxury" place, over $600 of packages were stolen and when I caught the culprit on video, they did nothing about it - I received one excuse after the next. (The burglar picked up the package and then put it back down when he noticed the security camera that I just installed - this happened at 2:55am!). I highly recommend Carlyle Place. Living here is just so easy!

The leasing agent, Tracy, showed us a "2 Bedroom 2 Bath" unit quickly, and I realized later that no lights were on during the visit. Since my daughter wasn't feeling well, we did the paperwork over the phone. I was stressed out that day because I knew that my daughter was due any minute. On moving day, we found the apartment hadn't been cleaned. We had to go to Home Depot to buy cleaning supplies because everything was dirty, from the toilet and shower to the stove and blinds. We cleaned it quickly and moved in due to my daughter's recent delivery and her baby being in the NICU. As we settled in, we noticed several issues. The apartment had a significant mosquito problem, and the washer and dryer were so old that they were damaging our clothes. We also struggled to get the dirt off the floors and noticed what appeared to be mold in the shower. We reported these issues during our move-in inspection, but the management took no action. They simply painted over the mold repeatedly every time someone moved out, without addressing the underlying problem. We also faced issues with the dishwasher, water quality, mosquitoes, and roaches, but the management refused to take responsibility or make any improvements. The air conditioning unit stopped working, and their solution was to pour water over the old, rusty unit outside. They blamed the high electricity bills on the old units and didn't make any effort to improve the situation. The pool was unusable due to mosquitoes, and I developed a rash after using it once. Additionally, our mailbox was robbed, and the management showed no concern about these security issues. The lack of care and accountability from the management was evident in their responses to our complaints. They failed to address safety, maintenance, and environmental issues and were dismissive of our concerns. The "live it, like it, love it for 30 days" offer was overshadowed by the overwhelming challenges I was facing with my daughter's postpartum care and the baby's hospitalization. Do I recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a decent place to live....NO? Save yourself the headache and the stress of dealing with the condescending, patchwork, crappy apartment complex and do not move here.

Even small requests such as the ice maker and hood light were immediately attended to with as much care as more urgent requests. The property is clean, quiet, and friendly. I referred my boyfriend here and he is just as happy; he says he doesn't even realize he's living in the city. Easy access to Wurzbach Pkwy is a major plus. The amenities are immaculate and never overcrowded. Living here actually saves me money due to the access of the amenities and wanting to stay home in what I proudly call home! HIGHLY recommend.

She is easy to find, she tackled and fixed the hot water issue! Something that has been a major problem for years. No one could figure it out. And she did! We had a couple issues that previous management wouldn't take care of. I think she knocked it all out within her first month here. I used to honestly dread going to the managers office to turn anything in or ask for anything. I don't feel that anymore. The property is definitely cleaned up now! The laundry rooms! We have new washers and dryers and they are repainted, and there's a key to access them. There used to be people who didn't live here who would hang out in there and I feel a lot safer now. It feels like you are more part of your neighborhood than in an apartment complex. The complex is structured so that it surrounds courtyards that are pretty to look at and the units are located on the second story, with the car ports located underneath them on the first floor-I loved this aspect the most because there are no upstairs or downstairs neighbors! However I think I may have been lucky and been in a perfect unit because my neighbors would complain of the constant maintenance issues such as the water or gas bills that are ridiculously high. They are constantly working on the water pipes near the complex and it doesn't seem to be getting any better. There has also been many management issues. I've done some research on the complex and it's been passed around many companies, multiple times in the past 5 years. There was actually one of those company changes two months after I moved in and the new company send in a landlord who was constantly drunk on the job and was never pleasant to meet with. That landlord has since been fired and the company sent another one who seems to be pleasant to work with but the company does not fill them in on a lot of information so it is always difficult to get some answers from the leasing office. Overall, I do believe that this complex has some potential but right now it's a little messy to deal with. I, personally have had a good experience but many of my neighbors do not feel the same way.

Pros: The maintenance is quick, the front office is courteous, and the gym is fantastic. We use the gym six days a week. It's huge! They have a beautiful pool. We haven't used it yet though but lots of people seem to. The ceilings are high and the layout is very spacious. Plenty of windows for natural lighting. The back porch has room for our greenhouse and gets plenty of sun without killing our plants. There are lots of wall plugs so don't worry about having an extensive amount of extension cords laying around. We have cats and there's plenty of room for them to play. They love it here. The entry way is really cool. Lots of closet space. Our bathroom has two sinks which is pretty convenient so I don't have to deal with my boyfriends beard trimmings. The tub is oval shaped so you get that extra room for baths. The kitchen is made for cooking. It's in a U shape so it's chef friendly. Cons: Parking. Between the hours of 8 and 3 parking is fine. 4 and 8, you may have to park a little further than you'd like. 8 and after you'll be parking way in the back. It gets pretty ridiculous but you can pay for covered parking if your more concerned about convenience. And the mail lady. She writes on your mail and marks packages as delivered when they haven't been delivered then she'll put them in your mail box the next day. We're going to the post master to report her so hopefully that problem won't last long. Getting out of the apartments is a pain early in the morning and between 3 and 6 in the evening. You're right off the highway so if you need to go south on 281 to get to 1604 you have to get over three lanes in less than a mile. Why I gave it five stars: this is a great place to live. It's in a great area, right down the street from multiple shopping centers. The apartment layout is perfect and spacious. The staff is nice and maintenance is quick. The only issues are basically out of their control.

I'll start by saying the people who live here are so kind and helpful, and while some just mind their business, I have made some friends here. Some residents here don't pick up after their animals and the mosquitos and wasps nest are insane here too. I personally have no incidents to report of any car break-ins but they had to close the mailbox room after 8pm due to people breaking into the mailboxes, and for a while the gate would be broken majority of the time but the past few months it hasn't, consequently if it being broken the gate opens super slowly and you have to be basically almost touching the gate for the sensor to work. I can't say the same for all apartments here, but I had a mold problem on vents and some of my window's glasses weren't fully sealed, so mold grew there too. The carpet was obviously old and I don't think they replace the apartments carpets as frequently as required. The building could be made of glass, everything breaks or bends when you mess with them slightly, but i'm assuming it's this way so they can strip you of your deposit. Inspections this year were crazy and there was no communication between maintenance, the office, and what was said to their residents. They inspected our building over 6 times for various reasons and one time our apartment specifically due to "lack of cleanliness". They don't tell you this when you move in, but mentioned in the lease it does have it and written that it needs to be clean and don't really specify what is actually required. They mean that in it needs to be SPOTLESS and deep cleaned anytime there is an inspection or if maintenance comes to fix something in your apartment. Specifically, Yassy, the assistant manager, has come into my apartment and berated at me about how dirty my place was and has pressured maintenance in front of me to explain what was seen as "awful" in my apartment, but they couldn't give an answer. I have a cat, and she states she's allergic to cats, so when she went on a rant about how hard it was to breathe in my apartment I'm going to assume maybe it's because you're allergic and not that my place stinks. Yassy has reportedly done this to multiple people living in this complex and is known for having an uncaring and unkind attitude. They hired someone to take over for the lease agent position during my time here and I'm not sure how he treats people touring, but every time i've talked with him his immediate response is to talk to a manager. I can't tell if he's lazy or wasn't trained well, but he is making management's jobs a whole lot harder and wasting my time, considering it's rare you see them in the office and getting ahold of them on the phone is also a rare occurrence. Keep this all in mind when looking at this place because it may not be for you, especially if you have any kids or animals.

In response to these repeated breaches of my privacy, I was compelled to file multiple police reports, including one for burglary due to the damage they caused to my door. Furthermore, I was left without an air conditioning thermostat for approximately three months and a patio door for six months. Even when my apartment flooded, causing significant property damage to my own, I recall that staff or maintenance did not respond the following day. Subsequently, I was presented with a document from Janet in the office, which essentially stated that my apartment had never flooded. She had provided me with a different description of the purpose of the document, but it ultimately amounted to requesting me to claim that my apartment had never flooded, despite the fact that it had . She had deceived me and had to sign a document that was false. that wouldn't be the first time. The situation escalated when the maintenance staff and apartment associates disregarded my property rights by accessing my belongings without my permission. . A particularly egregious incident occurred when the maintenance/staff did not offer assistance to enter my apartment after I had locked myself out. However, when they wanted to gain entry themselves, they disregarded my changed locks and essentially broke into my apartment. I recall a specific incident where I had just left my apartment and, as I was about to go leave the gate , I noticed the maintenance staff entering as I was leaving. Within a matter of minutes, they had already reached my apartment. They explained that they were looking for something and cooling and heating wires in my unit, which I understood to be related to the time of year when I did not have a thermostat. It is concerning that many of the similar instances mentioned in previous reviews that have been removed from the platform. However, there are still numerous similar reviews available. I am not the first person to have experienced these issues, and I believe it is important to raise awareness about this matter. Despite events, these individuals persist in attempting to extract an excessive amount of money from me, even though I was paying more than the amount I had initially stated. The discrepancy between what I paid and what they collected remains unclear, and I am uncertain of their intentions. Nevertheless, they are attempting to charge me an additional 15,000.

They constantly send out email updates and maintenance request are taken care of very quickly. In the last year that I've lived here the maintenance team has grown from 2 people to a whole team of people so the turn time is quick. There's so much shade for parking and there's always space to park. The nature throughout the area is pretty and it's so quiet. All the trees block out noise from the surrounding streets so it's very nice and peaceful to sit out on the balcony especially if you're on the 3rd floor. The first floor units have high ceilings but be sure to request pest control to spay inside the unit at lease by weekly to avoid any run ins with insects.
