This place is terrible. Their pricing practices are borderline illegal. They post an aggressive price online but then surprise you that the price only is valid with financing, trade-ins, etc. Nothing on the website shows this. My husband and I were experiencing turbo issues with our Ram diesel on a cross country trip. Luckily we contacted Jamie and he was fantastic. He offered us a place to park our fifth wheel on their back lot while our truck was diagnosed and repaired all in 1 day! Jamie and everyone else in the service department were very friendly and went out of their way to get us back on the road as soon as they could. The vehicle we bought was not as advertised; the inspection clearly missed major issues that I discovered just minutes after driving it off the lot. On top of that, the sales team, Breaze Newell and Gustavo Diaz was ridiculously pushy and dishonest about the vehicle's history. Completely lied to me and my families faces. Purchased a service contract for 6 oil changes and didn't drive the vehicle near as many miles as estimated after purchase. Had 2 oil changes left and they honored 1 of them. This oil change was done 1200 miles early at that. I asked if I could just get the oil and filter and I would do the last one myself. They refused, and said that they did me a favor by doing the one already. I'm sorry but these oil changes were pre paid for up front! They were never a gift from you ever. I paid for them!! Bo tells me they don't have anything to do with the contracts. Funny thing is the dealership gets paid for them, but they have nothing to do with them? I will never do business with Auto Ranch again. I knew there was a reason why I went to Smith Auto in Weiser, to have all my warranty work done. They understand customer service. Spend $65,000 with Auto Ranch and this is the best they can do. We'll see if screwing someone out of $120 or so is worth it. This certainly isn't my last vehicle, but it damn sure is from you!! read more

We recently tried to have our a/c repaired twice. We had to wait two weeks in April, when they canceled the night before. Then we got the earliest apt. May 23rd. We live 120 miles round trip & we're already on our way to our 20am appointment. The receptionist told us to leave it there, and why didn't we just have a friend ride down and pick us up? We could be without a car until Tuesday. Yep all through Memorial Day Weekend. Now Hometown Motors gives lowners, Bronco Motors does too, or they rent you one. So now, there is no trip for Memorial Day. The snotty receptionist acted like this was my fault. It is under warranty. We have been trying since April. Never, ever buy a car there. read more

This review pertains to the Subaru franchise. The Ontario auto ranch was contracted through Wheels Inc. to do a courtesy delivery of my new 2018 Outback. I was notified that the vehicle was delivered on 3/19. When I called the auto ranch the sales manager, Kevin Mitchell, told me that no, the vehicle had not been delivered (I finally caught him after leaving 3 unreturned messages). He denied having The vehicle on premises until I had Subaru run a tracer that showed that the vehicle was indeed signed for on 3/19. I still could have picked the vehicle up after the VIN search if they would have provided me with a temporary plate until I got mine from Idaho DMV. This however is not a courtesy the Ontario auto ranch will provide. After this display of "Courtesy" service, I would recommend steering clear of this dealership. I traded in a vehicle with no problems or issues on a newer vehicle. I was told prior to buying the vehicle that it passed a 120 point inspection. Come to find out the vehicle needs $6200 dollars worth of frontend and suspension repairs. They told me the parts are 2 weeks out. The vehicle shouldn't have been put on the lot for sale until the repairs were already made. It is very unsafe to drive. In town it drives okay, but on the freeway it has a death wobble and bounces all over the road the fastest you can go is 50 miles an hour. They have had the vehicle the last two days. They promised me that they would put the Cilajet on and that the repairs were done. Just picked up the vehicle they didn't do anything to the vehicle not even the Cilajet that I paid for. Nothing but broKen promises and lies. Please do yourself a favor and save yourself time and money. Look and buy a vehicle from a different dealership. read more

I wanted to buy a new Ram truck from this dealership. I requested 5 or 6 pieces of information (price for 5th wheel hitch which I never received, price for running boards I never received, price for document fees which I never received, out the the door price which I never received, price for 5 wheel hitch prep which I did receive, price for cost of 7 pin wiring which I did receive), so I could determine the "out the door" price for the truck. I needed this figure, so I could figure out how to pay for the truck. I requested this information via text and email several times over a 2 week period. Now, I don't know if the salesman just couldn't be bothered to get the figures to make a sale, or if he wasn't too interested in making a sale, or if he didn't want to give me the info so that when I arrived to buy the truck, they could add on "hidden" fees. I think it's the latter since a salesman's job is to make sales. Obviously, I won't be spending $65k at this dealership. Some other, more responsible, more honorable dealership will get my money (cash sale too!). It's too bad, b/c the truck had everything I wanted on it, it just needed to be set up to tow. Luckily, my current truck is in great shape and I don't need to be in a hurry to buy. I'll get the new truck in the fall. This is a different Jeff L. than a previous review. read more

Buyer beware. I went to this dealership in mid December. We were looking for a specific used car, and they happened to have one on the lot. We went for a test drive and the car was in good condition. The tire pressure light was on and I asked the salesman about it. He said it was due to the cold. The tires looked worn and I asked about them. He said the car had been cleared by their mechanics and the tires were fine. I asked if they would come down a little due to my perceived issue with the tires, he said no. The price was as low as they would go. We sat for 1 1/2 hours waiting for the paperwork to get completed. As we were waiting, the salesman had the car washed and we found that it had a crack (size of a quarter) in the windshield. The salesman shrugged his shoulders and said it wasn't an issue because it didn't block the drivers view. At this point I should have just walked away, but unfortunately I didn't. Fast forward two weeks. The tire pressure light came back on and we had the tires checked. They were all fairly low on tread, but one of them had a bad patch job and had a slow leak. In the end, I should have made a better decision and not proceeded with the sale. But with all the choices out there to buy a car, I recommend you choose a different dealership. I know I will never go back to them for a new or used car. read more

Service? The right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. They had my Grand Cherokee for five weeks, they knew what I was hoping could happen, and they totally failed at it with almost zero communication. I'm sorry, but someone quitting doesn't give you the right to keep my car, not do anything, and not contact me when you say you will. I needed them to contact my warranty company and see what among the laundry list of stupid little problems that arose over a year's time like prairie dogs would be covered. Each and every time I called, one of the five men who I spoke to didn't know what the disposition was. Have they never heard of Google Docs? Do they not have a notetaking system? The day before I finally just said, "Give me my car back, it's drivable after all, and I'm tired of driving a car that gets half the mileage," they sent me a text link to a four thousand dollar estimate, which I wasn't even able to access because the link was broken or typed in wrong. Four thousand dollars and I'm still not positive anyone really tried to figure out what could be covered? Crazy. I just picked up my absolutely filthy car that almost certainly sat idle in the parking lot for all but four hours of five weeks. read more

We purchased a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe with approx. 43,000 miles from Ontario Auto Ranch. Within 30 hours of purchasing the one-owner vehicle (vetted through the dealership shop) and paying full value for the vehicle, the car would not start. We contacted the salesman immediately believing the error could possibly be related to the anti-theft programming. The salesman, Craig Kendall, gave us some things to try, but the vehicle would not start until the next morning. We considered this instance a "fluke," but we have now owned the vehicle for 3 months and the car has randomly "not started" countless times, often stranding our family while traveling. As a mother of two young daughters and living in a rural area, I thought I had invested in a reliable vehicle from a reliable dealership. I spent more money than I originally intended to on a safe, clean car-fax, low-mileage vehicle (which was a rare market find). For the past 3 months, we have communicated with Craig about the vehicle's issues. Craig was responsive and did his best to help. You can note we did not purchase the warranty with the vehicle. The warranty was priced around $3,000.00 and since we were already over-budget and having poor experiences with prior warranties, we declined. We also expected a low-mileage vehicle marketed by what we thought was a reputable dealership to not have any major issues. At our own cost, we installed a new ignition switch (which worked well for a short time) and replaced the battery. We currently have the vehicle at our local Chevrolet dealership (65 miles away) and have no indication of the actual issue, if the issue is fixable, and how much the service will cost us. Prior to making this appointment, we asked Ontario Auto Ranch to help us explore solutions. A manager (who failed to call us back multiple times) finally explained Ontario Auto Ranch would do nothing to help us out. Our purchase was well-researched and a very important decision for our family. This car was marketed and sold as a barely-used vehicle and we did not expect mechanical/electrical issues, especially those that manifested 30 hours after purchase. This is not a coincidence. We could have purchased the extended warranty, but we also expected Ontario Auto Ranch to stand behind the vehicles they market and sell. We have been patient and genuine through the frustrating situation, but we are very disappointed, over-budget, and will not use Ontario Auto Ranch in the future. read more

Just devoted most of my day test driving and evaluating a vehicle only to be told AFTER that the REAL price despite what I had right on my phone and printed from their website was about 16K higher than advertised. Speaking to the manager was not very useful as he -this is a quote- "wanted educate me as to how this was not bait and switch" and proceeded to read fine print to me. Not at all happy with this dealer. We bought a 2015 Dodge pickup from them. They assured us it was mechanically sound. The transmission went out after 27 days. They had sold us a bumper to bumper warranty for the pickup through Portfolio Protection. The insurance/warranty is a joke. We paid over $30000 for the pickup and $2637 through the dealer to the insurance company. Do not buy from either of them! We have been sitting away from home broken down for 2 weeks now. READ ALL ONE STAR REVEIWS!! First, let me tell you I've bought a lot of vehicles with positive results. I must also say that I'm happy with the 2002 F-350 7.3 L four door long box. However, I'm not writing a review on the truck. This is not for the salesman (Charlie) either. This is about the Ontario Auto Ranch (OAR) sales manager and his counterpart. They were the decision makers. Everything was going well at first. Charlie said the vehicle has had a service and it was warranted for three thousand miles and three months. Great! The truck was empty on fuel with the fuel light on. I asked Charlie early in the morning if I could get the tank filled. He said he would check with his boss. When I got there to pick up the truck I asked about the fuel. He said his boss said no. REALLY? I asked to talk to the sales manager to see if he would reconsider. He said no, "we don't do that". I said you are willing to get a poor review for a $100 of fuel when I was paying the asking price with no trade in? He said "now that you've threatened me there's no way I'm filling the tank". I told him it wasn't a threat, it would be a fair rating for letting me leave with an empty tank. When signing the "as is" form I asked about the warranty. He said it's "as is" with no warranty. He said not on a 2002. I told him Charlie said there was one. Lie #1. I wanted a third party inspection of the truck and Charlie agreed and said they would fix anything Dowdy's found. They found a headlight bezel broken and OAR didn't fix it. They found the seat belt latch didn't lock. OAR said it worked. Actually it will lock after some pressure and a few attempts. Lie #2. It's faulty and they didn't fix it. They found a fuel line leak to the engine . OAR said no leak. I will take it to get it checked again to see if this is lie #3. After finalizing the paperwork I took it back to Dowdy's and told them what OAR told me. They then showed me the leak. It smelled of fresh diesel and I could see it was wet. I went back to OAR and asked for a mechanic to take a look. He said it was "probably" left over fuel when changing the fuel filter. I need to check to see if they replaced the filter to begin with. Either way, if so, they left fresh fuel to sit on top of an engine? I will follow up after getting it checked out. I went back into the store and asked the sales manager if he was going to go with his mechanics assessment. He said yes. I said ok, I'm going to have it checked out by another third party and if it is in fact a leak that they would be hearing from our attorney. He said "then pick up your check and leave". Very rude and disrespectful!! I left and on my way out he said "we're not fixing it!" Hmmm? Is he admitting he knows it's leaking? I went back in to reminded him that I have Dowdy's inspection sheet that said it's a leak and if I get another assessment saying the same thing they would have to answer to the our attorney and left. The truck has a 36 gallon tank (if it's like my personal truck) and I put 35 gallons of fuel in it. If Ontario Auto Ranch was the last dealership with cars on the planet, I would buy a horse. Imagine Google having a negative 5 star that's what I would give them. Looking for a vehicle? Go anywhere but there!! Why would they have wiped the computer data unless they were hiding something. GET THIS! I was on my way to Boise thinking about the $1,000 dollar deposit check I gave them to hold the truck for a week. I called to ask if they destroyed the check since I paid them the full asking price not including the deposit check. I was told the check was cashed which means they were keeping a thousand dollars more! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! They took the full asking price AND my deposit check! Now read the GM's response. He doesn't deny my post and rather than make the deal right, he wants me to bring the truck back? the problem is not the truck, it's the management! This GM must be related to the owner because it amazes me he has a job there! read more
