Called, got a quote for my dirt bike insurance back in January for $15/month. Good deal, signed up…read more First payment was $20. I e-mailed Sandy, who I had been working with, she explained they're charging me a fee for only having one policy with them. I told her that wasn't in my quote and that nobody explained that to me and asked if it could be taken off. After some checking, she was able to take that off and charged me $4 less the following month and then $15.91 every month there after. All is resolved. Then I get a call from a lady a couple months back asking if I would like to add renters insurance for $1/month more than I'm paying now. I said sure! Sounds like a great deal, sign me up. She signs me up and I get a bill in the mail for $50. I call and ask... they say they're billing me for two months at $25/month. I told them it was only supposed to be $1/month more ($16.91ish/month). She apologized and said she wasn't able to do that price for some reason, she'll do some checking and call me back. A week later, no call back. I called, another lady apologized and said she would check into it and call me back. Another couple days later, no call back. I call again and get Sandy. She apologized and said she will temporarily cancel my policy and get it back to the way it was before. She would call me on August 15th and get me back into auto pay with the same pricing as before. August 16th comes and I get a letter in the mail saying I'm past due. I call and speak with Sandy and tell her about the letter, why hasn't she called me back? She apologizes and says she has got it back to normal and she can take my payment. So I pay $38 for August and September and she assures me I will not be billed in September. Then I get an email a couple weeks ago saying Sandy charged my debit card $18.72. I call and explain they weren't supposed to charge me for this month and asked why it is $3/more a month than before and I don't even have the renters policy they promised. She explained it was the fee they charge for only having on policy. I explained I already talked to Sandy months ago and they were going to waive that fee. The lady says she will check into why I was charged and get back to me. A week goes by, no call back. I call, Rena answers and apologizes and says she has to call billing and get back to me. I explain that I'm very frustrated nobody ever returns my calls, she apologizes again and promises to call me back. A day or so later Rena calls back and says I shouldn't have been charged and asked if they can apply the payment to my October bill. I say yes and ask if they can talk to Sandy about the fee being waived and even forwarded my email from Sandy in January to her for their reference. She says she will have Sandy call me back. Three days later, no call back. I call and talk to Sandy. She says she cannot waive the fee and thinks I would be happier somewhere else. I am extremely appalled that a customer service representative would actually tell me to take my business somewhere else because she's unable to put my account back the way it was before it was screwed up, as promised. Instead of resolving the issue, which was their mistake, I have to go somewhere else? I also cannot believe how many times I was quoted one price and charged another and how many times I've been told someone will call me back and nobody does. It was only after I asked Sandy today who her manager was and if I could speak with them that she said she would resolve this and get back to me. And for once, she actually called me back 30 minutes later and said I will now be charged the regular $15/month. Such a simple request taken months to fix. Save yourself the headache!
