The reviews on their website are all positive; yet if you look anywhere else online, you see the truth. They avoid all responsibility and lack decent customer service. Their SLAs make it impossible to ever qualify for a refund and when you prove their first reason is faulty, they find another...literally throwing whatever at the wall to see what sticks. The forms they provide are outdated and it honestly saves time and money just filing for divorce yourself. Their "case workers" take entirely too long just to review your forms have been signed. Another SLA that drives you outside the 30 day period to qualify for a refund. They flat out refused to complete the platinum service for me and also refused a refund when I requested it. The first reason was I was outside 30 days. When I brought up the issue with them not keeping their own timelines, they changed tune. The final reasoning, "significant work" was performed. The forms are from the courts, and I completed them. They simply printed and mailed them to me, but I guess that's considered "significant"? I just completed the questionnaire, and they charged me 200$. I was just trying to see what the process would look like. I received no service or documentation from them as I didnt complete the questionnaire, and immediately told them I didnt want their services and to refund the 200$. They said since I completed their questionnaire (most of it was left blank as I was just looking), they said their service was provided, and they would not refund the money. This website is a scam. They are slow to reply on purpose, it seems like they're dragging my case out in order to get more money. My paperwork is correct and they keep finding problems with it that aren't actually problems, and things that cannot be fixed by me in their portal. I'm stuck in a loop with them. On 03/23/23 I used OnlineDivorce.com to start a divorce filing. I paid a fee of $159 dollars, no services used as of yet only a few questions about myself including email and phone number. After paying the fee I was advised applicable fees would be charged to provide the full cost of service I concluded I could not afford to use online Divorce. Unfortunately I was under the impression the service would be $159 for papers and filing. It wasn't until after paying that I was informed of this additional fee. ($399) I returned to the customer service Online Divorce website for a full refund, no services had been used, paperwork submitted or downloaded at this time, I was informed I would not be refunded my money, the conversation became impertinent and crude with the supervisor and I speaking over one another the call ending on his behalf. He did state I could recover half my refund of $159 which I declined. I advised I was filing a complaint with the BBB, shortly thereafter in my email I received a message stating $59.50 would be returned to my original card used. To be clear this isn't even half of $159. They did nothing for me. Don't use this service. I paid $159 and found it way too complicated for my uncontested divorce and used it for just 10 minutes. I asked for a refund and two days later they said they would refund $129 but would not refund the $30 activation fee. I spoke to a supervisor, and he told me that they would not refund me $129 but $59. I told him that I would contest the charge with my bank and did so. The basic Online Divorce is worth it, because it provides all the forms you need filled out with the instructions to file them. It is worthless though if you have any questions regarding the questions. Also, they are constantly trying to enroll you in other aspects with recurring charges. Bottom line, it is a little better than chasing down what you need on the Internet, but not by much. Onlinedivorce.com is absolutely the worst company I have ever worked with. To preface the story this is the first negative review I have ever left a business, I understand that mistakes may happen but when they repeatedly occur and no one will contact you or make any attempt to rectify a situation negative feedback will hopefully help future consumers from trusting them with their business. My divorce was initiated in December of 2021 and both my husband and I were in agreement of the terms. We do not have any children or joint assets and felt like a simplified divorce was the best way to go. The first negative experience was; I had a question about what information I needed to fill out and called customer service. They told me to "leave the area blank" which caused a month long delay because the paperwork needed to be sent back to me and the circuit court number did in fact need to be filled out. It takes about 15 business days for them to respond. There have been other hiccups along the way but as I stated mistakes happen and I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I have had to repeatedly (almost every evening) call customer service to update me on the progress of my case for the past 3 weeks I was told that the documents were approved and waiting to be shipped to the courts. I was frustrated that they were sitting around for 3 weeks just to be mailed and was told a supervisor would be contacting me. I set a time for "Jhon" (the supervisor) to call on 3 different occasions. He missed every appointment that we had and his communication skills are horrific. It is beyond me how someone such as this can be a supervisor in customer service. Today I received an email that some of my paperwork was "misplaced" and not only did I have to get documents notarized again, I also need to pay for additional shipping. I am amazed that this company is still in business. The only thing they are good at is prolonging the divorce process and charging extra fees. Please select another business for divorce assistance. We experienced all the delays, wrong paperwork, added fees, etc. outlined in other reviews. Ten months later the paperwork was so screwed up the court would not accept it. We ended up hiring an independent paralegal $450 to straighten out and get the correct documents the court needed so our divorce could be finalized. I was inundated with phone calls and email to try to upsell me into premium service, but they got the financial calculations wrong (since they didn't take into account what I was already paying) and wouldn't respond at all to my questions. Thank you for your service. I feel like there should have been a section where I could explain in better detail the grounds of annulment.... I separated from my spouse because he was not who I thought I married and I found out he was using drugs. He was gone almost every night until anywhere up to 7 a.m. and he said he was at work but he was not at work but out getting high. I have tried contacting him since we separated and he ignores my texts and phone calls. When I did get hold of him from a new phone number he told me never to call him again. I do not want any money from him and we had no children together. He had two of his own children from previous relationships and I have one child from a previous relationship. I just want an annulment so that I can leave the heartache and pain he caused me behind. I am a full-time student and I will graduate from Friends University with my Bachelors in Psychology in May 2019. I work hard to raise my daughter and I do not want to live the lifestyle my spouse was living. Once we married he seemed to quit caring and would rather be gone at night getting high. I did not expect this to happen, but I am glad it happened only a month into our marriage and not years later.
